  1. Has anyone received an e-mail request for payment?
  2. Hi there all you geocoiners. A group of cachers have been hard at work for more than a year to put together western Canada's first MEGA EVENT (GC2GA1J) It should be an amazing time and there are lots of satellite events associated with the MEGA. One of them is the A BAD Night - Geocoin Event (GC2YZH5) that takes place later in the evening after the MEGA. We plan to give a raffle draw ticket for each non-perishable food item (for the Three Hills Food Bank) that a cacher brings to the event. If there are any geocoiners that would be willing to donate a coin for this event, we would be most grateful. As an incentive, we hope to be able to offer people that donate a chance to purchase an event coin for $15 (includes postage). The coin is a beauty that was designed with Landsharkz and let's just say that dinosaurs were involved. We will also recognize your donation at the event. Thanks very much. PS - it sounds like the Canada Post strike may end this week - fingers crossed. tethysc (at) gmail.com
  3. Lucky lucky me. Also asked for #99 or #55 thanks to the Delft Blaauw gang.
  4. This way, everyone else knows that you are in the hunt. I'm sure they will have way more than 125 requests. It is lottery time.
  5. You've got some great older coins on your activated list. You might list them all here in bunches and have a price. People can e-mail with a request for the ones they want. I imagine you plan on keeping the M10Bike V3.
  6. E-mail sent. Hopefully most people really don't like this design and decide not to send an e-mail.
  7. Andrew, Those two versions will be back in stock April 22nd. How many do you need? I should have safety stock sitting around for now (5 pcs? of each), just in case. TMA Thanks for the reminder. Got in there today and picked a few up. Another awesome design for keeping and putting in for FTF prizes.

  11. The CNIB passionately provides community-based support, knowledge and a national voice to ensure Canadians who are blind or partially sighted have the confidence, skills and opportunities to fully participate in life. Here is your chance to acquire a complete set of ammonite geocoins and support a worthy cause. The 4 coin set depicts the breaking apart of Pangea with a corresponding age specific ammonite. There are 4 different icons and they are trackable. Visit the link below to place your bid and check out CNIB's other auction items. Ammonite Geocoins

  18. I may have one. You can check out my lists on my sig line.
  19. Odd weather patterns in the Calgary area over the last week or two - huge hailstorms, wind, rain and crop circles!! Now I know why - the arrival of Close Encointer #194. Thanks very much for this secret beauty!!
  20. Mark, I believe I could help you with this little issue from 'across the pond'.
  21. Sent an e-mail from C-side Girl and I - wish we could go - looks like fun!!
  22. My daughter (YVR-YYC) was the 'young lady' - she saw one of these a couple days before in a cache in Kingsgate as we crossed the border. Now she knows 'the rest of the story' for this sneaky hairy guy that waltzed through the MGM Event. She was also puzzled by the coin just lying there waiting to be 'found'.
  23. He is ALIVE!!! I'm sure he has made it across the border now so I can say that I found a Geo Sasquatch coin at GCP4FW - Welcome to Kingsgate while we waited to cross the line. The big guy must have been looking for a place to cross the border - obviously wants to get down for GeoWoodstock VIII The coin is a beauty - Will treasure this one forever as I've often been called 'Sasquatch' as well. Thanks BIG GUY!!!
  24. Awesome coins GeoKs!!! Bernice, here in Calgary, we don't really talk about the Dome - or the Flames (FlameOuts) much these days. It was not a pretty season for the hockey faithful. Hope you're enjoying downunda and have a good fall/winter there.
  25. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there. My father taught me many things even though my M+D divorced when I was about 6. We spent summers with him on the dairy farm in Manitoba - he taught me how to milk a cow (not much use these days ), how to drive a tractor and one of my favorites - how to fix a leaking gas tank. The farm truck had a split in the seam of the gas tank. Dad got a bar of soap and started scraping it into the small crack. Sure enough, it sealed up the hole and allowed him to drive to the service station to get it fixed. I was around 12 then. Around 12 years later, I was was in the back woods on logging roads working for the Geological Survey of Canada. It was an amazing summers work. Two of us were making our way up quite an old logging road and we went over an old tree limb that snapped up and smashed the gas tank. We got out to look and sure enough, we had split the seam of the gas tank. We were probably 25-30 km off any main road. My Dad's old trick came to my mind. Unfortunately, soap was not really something we carried around on our truck traverses. Lucky for us, this was before lunch - I dug into my lunch bag and pulled out a big chunk of cheddar cheese. Under the truck and start mushing the cheese into the crack. Sure enough it began to stop the leak and after a few more pushes with the cheese, the gas stopped coming out. We made it out and to a service station for repairs. Thanks Dad!! Dad is 73 now and had a pretty serious scare with colon cancer a few years ago. After operations and all the other fun stuff, he has been given a clean bill of health. I took him fishing to the Queen Charlotte Islands a couple years ago and we really had a few good bonding days. Growing up, I only saw him in the summer months, so it was a good chance to know him as a man and not just a Dad. Happy Father's Day Dad!!
