Here's one that I use as it uses Google MAPs and lets you create a route anywhere and not just by the shortest route as in Google Earth. It does take some working out but once you get the hang of it, it lets you have more opptions.

I got ride of the numbers. If you notice now, there are + and - icons on the top right of the map. Clicking those will now zoom in and out. Also there is an [i] on the right side of the map. That's got a cool feature too Ok problem from Down under. Geocaching.com Google Map link when you click on it it opens google maps and shows you that cache location and no matter what zone level it does not show up any other caches now. To see other caches nearby you have to use the ...all nearby caches then use the map it square top left corner to other caches nearby on google maps. Thought this should be add here.

Enjoying the new changes to the google map on the cache page. + - works well. Make this page print-friendly (no logs) still brings up a grey square instead of a map.

Hi Smish25, Some events have decided on a channel to use during the event, but as for a single channel that we all use that can change from area to area depending on what repeater stations are avalible. The other place to try asking this question is on the GCA forums, as you will find most Australian caches hang out there. try posting your message on these forums- http://forum.geocaching.com.au/index.php You will need to registor and log in unless you post in the International Section.

I wont tell you that work pays for half of my fuel. I wont tell you I also get at lest one trip away a month with time to cache.

My wife caches with me some of the time but does not wish to open her own account as we already have one. So there are some caches which I have hidden without her and she has enjoyed the chance to find those special places I have chosen hide some caches. This therefore shows up as us finding our own caches.

We are paying about $1.65 per liter unleaded and about $1.85 per liter Diesel i think our unleaded is not less then 92% octane. Ok 1 lt = 0.26 gallons 1 gallon = 3.78 lts 4lt = 1 gallon Therefore we pay about $6.80 per gallon plus or minus currency converter. 6.80 AUD = 6.5572 1 AUD = 0.9643 So we only pay $6.50 per gallon unleaded and about $7.40 diesel. You guys get it cheap. Can anyone put some in the mail for me?

Hate to drag this up again. New maps on cache pages age great but noticed this problem this evening, where you adjust the map zoom level at the bottem of the cache page and you get a white screen. It has all the google and rights info plus the red teardrop but no map. When you goto zoom 7 or 4 you get a map but nothing in 1,2,3,5 or 6. Top map OK. Does not affect all pages. Try GCC44 GCNX27 GCGVNB

Ever find a cache you weren't looking for?
JABs replied to TMDMom's topic in General geocaching topics
Yep and got owners permision to log it as it is a complex mutli. May 5 by <>JABs (870 found) This cache is Logged with the owners permission. All started at about 4.30 am on a cold and frosty Canberra morning, we had been caching since 6.30 pm and the mind was now starting to play tricks, we had walk up numurous hills and over many frosty grass fields to finally stop in this urburn street to hunt for a near by cache Roger, the Cabin Boy. As we neared the cache I looked down and spied the spot where I would hide a cache (there it was) and started to open said cache only for Code1 to call back to me what are you doing we still have about 100 meters to go. Any way we signed log and decided to travel the 100m and guess what it was here we found the true cache and relised that against the odds we had not only found a cache on the side of a hill we had done it in the dark. So we returned to that location to collect some info like who had found it and when so we where able to track down the the cache ID and owner. Thanks for the greatest adventure of finding a cache without any previous cache info. JABs. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...31-112880c9e9b2 -
Who is responsible for disable caches? There seems to be alot of disable caches out our way that some have been for for several months now. All with will replace soon or words of will fix.(some are in a bad case of needing repair). How long should they be aloud to sit there and not be fixed, repaired, replaced? Look at GC10ZYP and at a 10 km radius from that cache is there is no less then 8 disabled caches. Without going through all 80 odd caches within that radius I count several that are in need of maintenance. Yes I do understand that our reviewers are busy people that have a life outside of caching. Is there any way that these caches can be reviewed or added to a review list say 6 weeks after been disabled and or needs maintenance is activated?

Ok what is GW6 ? It would be nice that when the site goes missing that one of the crew would post a note here so that we knew that they are aware of the problem. Only takes a mintue to post a note.
