  1. Heading to Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks area in about a month and I was wondering if there are some must do caches in the area. My family especially enjoys earthcaches. Thanks.
  2. Any help planning my vacation would be greatly appreciated. We'll be staying at the Massanutten Resort near McGaheysville, VA and making a day trip to Washington, DC. From a previous thread I've figured out what caches I'd like to do in DC, but I'd welcome any must-do caches near the resort. Would the Cyclopean Towers Earthcache in Stokesville be worth the hour's drive? Also, if anyone knows of any great restaurants or other places of interest in the area. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
  3. I have to agree with Haffy. My all time favourite, so far, has been the Acadia National Park Earthcache Program (GC11M7T), in Maine. TerryDad2 has a great one by there as well called The Ovens - 2 if by land, 5 if by sea (GCZ5JA). flyingmoose has some fabulous earthcaches along the Potomac River in Maryland and in Virginia, one being Great Falls Earthcache (GCZDA0). Another fascinating earthcache, by cirrus142, is the Chesapeake Bay Bolide (GCZNQT). Keep these great earthcaches coming!
  4. Thanks KJcachers and bargle. I will look into both of those caverns.
  5. Crab sounds good, KJcachers! Also, I've been checking out some caverns in the Shenandoah area. Can anyone suggest the best of them? There's Luray Caverns, Endless, Shenandoah, Natural Bridge, Grottoes...all on route home for me. How do you choose? They all sound great.
  6. Thank you so much, KJcachers and Nochipra! I'm looking forward to this vacation - it can't come soon enough.
  7. I'm heading to Colonial Williamsburg for March Break. I'm looking to do some caches in the area (as many as my husband will let me, ha ha) and was wondering if anyone can recommend some good ones. Also, any restaurants that you recommend? I've been there once before, but I posted in the forums for my last vacation (to Bar Harbor, Maine) and the responses I got from everyone made it the best vacation I had ever taken. I'm hoping to get some more great info. Also, if you know of any fabulous earthcaches - we'll be heading south from Rochester NY on 15, thru Harrisburg, PA to 95 to Williamsburg. We'll probably head over to Chesapeake Bay as well. Thanks.
  8. On the advice of ...the Girl, I bought Maui Jim's Makaha prescription sunglasses in the Maui Rose tint. WOW!! I have no idea how I saw anything before. Just kidding, but they are fabulous! Thank you so much for your reviews of products and advice. I really appreciate it, and I love my glasses.
  9. Kept refreshing the page and finally it said "sold out". I can't believe it - I missed out on the Whale Trail coin, too. If anyone got an extra copper, I'd love to buy it from you. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, Bob. I received my coin today and it looks great!
  11. I'm also very interested in seeing pics of this coin. This September will be my 5th year participating in the 60 km Weekend to End Breast Cancer Walk in Toronto. A great cause!
  12. I've only done 4 earthcaches and I've placed one. I love them. I visit Niagara Falls a few times each year and because of geocaching and earthcaches, I walked down a million steps to the whirlpool yesterday. I had no idea that the whirlpool changes direction. It was breathtaking - the scenery as well as the climb! A while back I did the Muskoka Potholes in Gravenhurst - again, a spot I had no idea existed. Thanks to everyone who places an earthcache for my family and I to discover.
  13. I missed ordering this one! Did anyone order an extra they would be willing to sell? Thanks.
  14. Does this mean if we already have put in a reservation we have to do it again? (I have a reserve for a black nickel.) Or will you be ordering more coins to sell?
  15. Great coins! Would love a black nickel.
  16. 2 Lizardtoadz toad geocoins!! One for me and a present for a friend. She loves frogs and this will be her 1st geocoin.
  17. Am new to geocoin collecting and totally addicted! Would love to have a spinnning top geocoin in satin gold or black nickel. Willing to pay, but not ebay prices, or I have a Central Ontario Geocachers 2007 silver geocoin to trade. Thanks.
  18. Compass Rose today and a Dorkfish aquarium earlier this week.
  19. I live in snow country - in fact we got 4 feet last week!! I struggled with finding a few caches in the snow and then I realized that if you look to see what caches have been found recently in your area that will tell you that you can find them readily. Also sometimes the description of the cache, or the clue will tell you if it is winter friendly or located off the ground. I just started in January and I'm up to 21, so it can be done in the snow!! Very addictive!
  20. Got one!!! I have to admit that these last 7 pages have been totally entertaining!!! What a way to spend time while waiting for the C & P site. Thanks, Aaron. Looking forward to receiving the coin.
  21. Changed my mind. I love your coin, but I'll pass this time. Please take me off of your list. Thanks.
  22. Today I received Fluttershy's butterflies and last week I received our new Central Ontario Geocachers coins! I love Christmas in January!
  23. I was so excited to see your package in the mail today! Thanks for the butterflies. I love the colours! My son has already decided he wants the teal one.
