You can double-click to zoom in and right-mouse-button-double-click to zoom out on the Geocaching.com Google maps page. It works great and it's quicker than using the zoom slider.

I am seeing a shaded "Sponsored Links" box in the Geocaching Maps after I click on a cache icon. Is anyone else seeing this? Happening in IE7 and Firefox for me.

Well, it happened again today, but this time I think I know what's going on. I had my same notification set up and it was working correctly. I was getting emails of other finders, but the moment I logged a find that fell within that notification, I stopped getting the emails. When I checked back on the http://www.geocaching.com/notify/ page, my Instanotify that I set up was gone. Somehow when I am the cache finder, my notification gets deleted. Weird and annoying. I've submitted a ticket about this.

For the last week or so I have noticed that I wasn't receiving emails from an Instanotify that I set up. I went to the Notifications page on Geocaching.com and the Instanotify that I had made was no longer listed. Thinking that I didn't set it up right or something, I created it again yesterday. I set it up as All finds and DNFs on Traditional caches within 13 miles of a set of coordinates. For a day or two it worked fine. I was receiving the email notifications. Then today when I logged a find within the 13 mile radius, I didn't get the notification email. I went back to Instanotify page, and the one that I had created the day before was now gone. It must have been deleted within a few hours because I checked it this morning and it was there. It was working at 10:10am today when I received a notify email, but when I logged my find at about 1:30pm, it was gone. The 6 other notifications that I have are still there and - apparently - working correctly. Has anyone else seen this sort of thing? Is there a limit on the number of Instanotifies you can have? Thanks.

I've found a $20 Starbucks gift card and a new CallerID device. My best finds were not actually in the cache, but found while searching - a Winchester multi-tool and a pair of $200 Maui Jim sunglasses.

I have been using the m125 for paperless caching for more than a month now. Cachemate 4.1.1 and Plucker running fine on it. It's got the SD card expansion slot for added memory. Works great. I love it.

I had an close encounter with a bear last month after grabbing Pack 194 2005 CITO Cache. See my log here. Earlier this week my neighbors photographed a bear that had been actually sitting on my front steps! They told me about it 20 minutes later when I came out to walk the dog. That would have been interesting if I opened the door and saw it sitting there! Not counting that one, I've had 4 bear sightings this year.
