Thx for the info Honeybee, Just wish I had more time to work on this project, but I'm home only 1-2 days a week due to being a truck driver, throw in house work and time to relax doesn't leave much time.

I found my first 3 caches without a gps by using topo maps, clues provided by cache page and finders comments. Topo maps will get you into the ball park area, but the red cross is off by 50-70 feet. A fact that I didn't know at the time.

The NCT(S) stands for North Country Trail System that starts in North Dakota and ends in New York and runs thru Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and PA. There are some sections not completed, but are being worked or trail is under the planning stages.

I have a user on a new cache thats watching the listing and its not even published yet. Could it be a reviewer?

Had a couple of DNF on one of my caches (now archived) I left the house armed with a replacement cache (if needed), telling my better where I was off to. Drove the 5 miles to the area, walked to the cache location and spent 30 mins looking for the tree the cache was hidden in, I couldn't locate the tree!!! Returning home, I stormed thru the livingroom towards the computer and gps, wife looked up and started to say something, but I cut her off by saying "Don't say a word!" Armed with the gps and info for the cache, I headed for the door muttering to her as I passed " Can't believe I can't find my own cache!"

If there are no clues given by the owner, I read some of the logs to see if I can spot a clue or some kind of a hint. Sometimes its helpful! The one cache I did ( won't memtion the name of the cache ) the waypoint was off by 60 feet or so. One log stated to look down into the furnaces because it was so cool to do so. Thats how I spotted the cache.

It is real odd that this problem has struck more than a handful of members, myself included. I've been with GC for 5+ years, and have not had problems getting logs, etc til now. Something has change sometime around the 19th of this month. I stopped getting any mail from GC, and after doing some checking, I changed email accounts, now things appear to be normal again. I'm puzzlled why any ISP would all of a sudden block emails from a certain website? I would like to switch back to my old email address to see if just changing email accounts has corrected the problem, but I'm afraid to change back and not receive the verification code to complete the transfer. I have checked the spam folder and blocked address from my ISP and didn't see where GC was blocked.

Seems odd that after 3 years, this cache has produced so much trouble! Was there any kind of police report on this? Hope all turns out well for all concerned!

I checked some of the groups pinned at the top of this forum. It looks like the ones new New Orleans are down, unless I missed one somewhere. Can someone list a Group that may be active?

Its a small thing really, but the cachers avitar is 2/3's off the page and also the text below the map. Lets just sat, to me, it bugs me to see it run off the page. Is it just me or does this bug others also?

The only problem I see with the map Thrak mentions is that it really messes up the profile page.

There was a way to see all of the caches listed by states in the form of geocaching.com maps. You could also jump from one state to another by clicking on the ajoining state name. I have not used it for so long that I forgot how to get to it. Can anyone help me get to this page? Paul

Would digging out a hole (by Hand) that has gotten smaller due to land movement over a 4 year time span be wrong? Had a cache in one for over 4 years and dug out the hole twice.
