  1. I tried this solution last weekend, actually I let it sit on the “loading maps screen” for almost an hour I pressed the power button several times throughout the hour it would not let me do anything, ultimately I pulled the batteries and yes on power on the caches were not there.
  2. I wondered if was something with my account so I tried running the PQ in my wife's user name 1irishgirl, under my dad's name igolfnbird and another under a friends name all4buck and nada. I was able to get a "my finds" PQ run with no problem. I am also away from home with no caches loaded so I guess it will be a full day of work tomorrow jeesh thats going to be boring!!
  3. Is anyone else having PQ problems? I have submitted a few and they are not running this is the second time this month this has happned to me. Most likley questions to be asked: Has it been more then 24 hours from your last PQ = Yes Did you submit today as the day to run = Yes I am not sure whats going on any ideas?
  4. Is anyone else having a problem getting there PQ's i have 6 PQ's in que on 2 accounts and still just sitting there.
  5. I was extremely disappointed in the fact that the original .KML was discontinued but I felt there was no reason to complain about it, the powers that be felt the need to discontinue the program what could I do? However this new information makes me very excited and I must thank you for working so hard to bring it back!! I use Google earth and the .kml a lot to plan road trips and vacations based on geocaches, So BROVO and thank you.
  6. I regularly, maybe even every day look at Google earth for Geocacheing and I will miss this tool. Hopefully they will figure out how to keep it around.
  7. I am not too sure if I understand this 100% will this be a Benchmark or a Geocache, is this a Groundspeak thing and is it going to be logable? What states do you have help in already?
  8. So I just got a new laptop with windows vista on it and I was attempting to build a program. The werigo builder installed good however when I try to “publish to my machine” it will not do anything it just sits there it does not lock up it just does nothing, does anyone have any ideas?
  9. What Com port is the internal GPS defaulted on? Make sure they match I also noticed if you change the internal com port from its default number it will not work. Mine was set on 4. So make Wherigo match the internal GPS settings. I just checked with a friend of mine and he has the mogul as well, he did everything I said with one exception, he used 9600 baud and it works for him.
  10. So I finished a cartridge and uploaded it, it has been played and the final found so it works which is good. But I have another question, how do I make an unlock code for someone to enter when they have completed the cache? They can log the cache but I don’t know if it is the preferred way to do it. Thanks Travis.
  11. This is the same error I got with my mogul until I figured out how to correct the problem as you can see here
  12. I already deleted it and started over, the good news is I am almost finished and hopefully will be able to upload it for everyone to play possibly as early as tomorrow; I just have to place the final box in the woods and submit everything for approval.
  13. WAHOOO SUCCESS with the internal GPS!! It took A LOT of tweaking but here is what I did 1 Go to Settings, System, External GPS 2 Go to access and uncheck manage GPS automatically and click ok 3 Run Wherigo and let it fail to communicate to the GPS this will allow you to change the settings manually instead of it locking up. 4 In Wherigo uncheck the box Auto Detect GPS and set com port to “COM4” and Speed to 4800 then close Wherigo 5 go back into your External GPS settings and re check the box Manage GPS automatically and click ok 6 Do a soft reset 7 Run Google maps and make sure that your GPS is operating. 8 Open Wherigo and it should work. I think problems like this could be prevented if they would let us manage our settings on the initial setup instead of letting the program auto detect the GPS. However it could just be our phones
  14. Here is the error if anyone is interested
  15. AHHHHH %$#@#$ I was doing soooooo good I created a cool “beginner” program and as I was adding the last zone that will bring you to the final and the program crashed and I lost half of my work I had only saved it to zone 2. Oh well I guess I need the practice anyway
  16. Ok cool I am getting somewhere now. Is 100 the highest variable I can go? As seen in the picture below? I am trying to make the answer be a year 1609 but it will not go past 100
  17. Cool thanks!! I will play with it and see what I can come up with.
  18. I am trying to build my first program and I am at a good start but now I am stuck. What I want to do is have someone enter a zone, talk to my character and answer a question, if that is done correctly it will open another zone Any ideas? Also are there any programs (.lua) that people can download and play with to get them started in the right direction? Thanks Travis
  19. This topic is already being discussed at Here
  20. A small update I tried again with my Bluetooth GPS and I got Wherigo to work and I played the tutorial again, This leads me to believe that Wherigo may not be able to find the internal GPS on the mogul or when it does it can not figure out how to make it work and it just freezes the phone.
  21. Has anyone had any Success with the mogul after the firmware upgrade? It seems to lock my devise up every time I run Wherigo and I have to do a soft reset. However I did make some small progress when I un-checked manage GPS automatically the mogul then does not freeze up and it will then let me go to the screen where I can mess with the GPS settings but I can not get it to connect to anything, I have changed all the com ports etc and tried and tried. I also notice that no other GPS enabled program works when I do this i.e. Google earth or cache mate.
  22. Hello I was wondering if I could get the old file sent to me as well. I do not know if it was a firm where upgrade or what, but HTC just upgraded the firm where on my mogul and turned on the internal GPS but it deletes all the data when I uploaded the new player it will not run Thanks For the help! Travis whippintegra@gmail.com
  23. I'm not certain, but I would imagine only one program at a time would be able to access the GPSr. That might be it. This is the only way I was able to get Wherigo to run on my phone.
  24. It took me a little bit but I got my Bluetooth GPS to work on my Sprint Mogul. Here is what I did and maybe it will work for other pocket PC devises 1 st I pared the GPS and checked the box for “Serial Port” 2 nd I went into GPS settings and assigned the Program port to COM 8 3 rd I unchecked the box for manage GPS automatically I did a soft reset and checked all the settings were still as I set them up, then I opened the Wherigo program and all was good and I played the Wherigo Player Tutorial very interesting concept, I hope there will be new games in my area soon I may even try and create one if I can figure it out.
  25. I have the Sprint Mogul and I love it!! I am using cache mate it initially takes a few minutes to upload my 2500+ caches but after the initial upload it works great. On a second note the mogul is getting ready for a new firmware upgrade that activates the internal GPS there is a test ROM now with the activated GPS. With this you can go paperless and use the phone to find the cache it also works with Google earth “maps” so you can see exactly where you are etc I Love it I Love it I Love it!!!!
