  1. I'm sure this has been posted before,,,,,what files do you need to back up...to transfer all the data to my laptop? Thanks NJLOAD
  2. I don't have my disk handy, but you need to look on the CD and install the GPS part of the program. Look in the help file to find the directory for the files to install. Sorry I don't have my disk to look but wanted to get a quick answer to you. NJLOAD
  3. As usual quick reply and good fix. Thanks NJLOAD
  4. ClydeE, I just downloaded "GSAK 2.00 Final" and when I try to install get this message: Archive integrity check failed The expected setup file size 3,613,969 bytes The Actual setup file is 898,443 bytes Setup will Abort. I'm running Win XP Pro, no problems with the program until this install. Thanks NJLOAD
  5. Looking for Mapsend Streets Europe, if anyone knows where to get a copy cheep or looking to sell. Thanks NJLOAD
  6. Hello Frolickin, have you tried GSAK? I use it and have loaded push-pins into Streets & trips, and also loaded into Mapsend using the export feature. If you have you Loc/GPX files saved to your Hard Drive its easy to load into GSAK, If not what I have done is loaded the caches in MY Watch Page and then done a pocket query to download them all. I mess around with Access and will try to come up with something, but have a DR. appointment tonight and might not get to it. Best Wishes NJLOAD
  7. Question: I downloaded a GPX, file including my own cache site. It does not show up in the totals column as me being the owner. How do I change this? I have seen where you can manually change the cache to found and I know you can toggle cache archive status but nothing on changing ownership to yourself. Is there a way to manually insert your own information? If not in future releases will this be possible? Thanks for the great program. NJLOAD
  8. Great, I will be keeping my eyes open for updates and new features. thanks again NJLOAD
  9. Yes, how about a way to export from GSAK say to CachMate or any other PDA geocaching program. This would make GSAK the ultimate and only desktop program for GeoCaching.
  10. I think I am missing something here. How do you output your query to the screen? When I log on and go to the PQ screen my only output is to the email address. please verify Thanks NJLOAD
  11. Clyde, excellent program. I just started messing around with it and really like it. In the future is there any plans on being able to download from your GPS? and how about doing a sync to your PDA? I'm sure as I play with it I will have more questions and/or suggestions. Thanks again NJLOAD
  12. You don't need spinner or plucker if you are using CacheMate. If you want to use your GPS with your PDA go to Radio Shack to get the null modem and look on Ebay for the cables. That is where I got my equipment. There is no Desktop for CacheMate. When you log a find you can change the category to found. The best thing to do is just play with the program with a few caches loaded until you are familiar with it. Good Luck NJLOAD
  13. Item was ended by seller.................?????????????????/ Add shipping charges and it wasn't that great of a deal.

  15. When I download something I set-up a folder and name it whatever the program is that I'm downloading. This comes in handy for problems like this. My download file has various sub-folders for every program I download. Just a thought.
  16. Just did a personalization on my SporTrak Pro, works fine. Thanks for all the great information.
  17. Well, that just about makes up my mind. I'll just stick with MS Streets and Trips, it does the job now with no problems. I just liked some of the other features in the Delorme package. Guess I need to come across a new laptop......................
  18. I was checking the system requirements, is this a lead sled on the laptop? I'm using an old NEC VERSA 6060 I think its a 133MHz. I was thinking about buying this program, but not sure if the old processor can handle it.
  19. I went to Delorme's web site and looked at the program and it claims you can download waypoints, just was wondering if someone has done it and how it looked. I use GPSBabel now for MS Streets and Trips to download GPX files into push-pins. Its nice to have your laptop with you on cache hunts, and to be able to see all the other cache sites close by.
  20. Is anyone using Street Atlas 2004 for real-time navigation? If so are you able to download waypoints from your GPS? I saw a copy on a friends laptop at work and the street maps really look cool. I am using MS Street and Trips 2003 now.
  21. Done deal, I didn't hold the CTRL key while clicking on the push pin. Everything works fine, also created the batch file and it works fine. Thanks NJLOAD
  22. robertlipe: I downloaded GPSBabel, and its a nice program to add to the toolbox. Could you give a detailed description on how you convert your GPX files into MS Streets and Trips? I have done it with success but without the ability to hyperlink to the web page. A detailed example of how you do it would be appreciated. I have done it with success but there are a lot of variables in the different file types in the save as drop down list, maybe I am doing something wrong there. Thanks NJLOAD
  23. Could you show me how you would enter the long/lat in the coordinate string box on the program you recommend? I tried 39.52569 074.30481 and hit go and nothing happens. Example Please NJLOAD
  24. I am using MS streets and trips 2003 for real-time navigation on my laptop. I am trying to use the search feature and search by latitude and longitude but end up in the ocean or some other strange place other than what I am looking for when I type in the coordinates. example I type in 39.52569N And -74.30481W and end up in the Bay. MS claims it is using WGS84 and this Is the Datum I am using in my GPS. What I am trying to accomplish is putting push-pins on MS so I can view the caches I want to drive to. I also have Mapsend Topo but I like the streets better in MS. Any help is appreciated. NJLOAD
