Ciągle aktualizowane dumpy OpenStreetMap działające np. w C:Geo: https://www.openandromaps.org/en Sam trzymam na telefonie mapę Polski + krajów ościennych. Tak na wszelki wypadek, bo nawet w Roamingu UE z zasięgiem bywa różnie.

I came here to report this and I can see that the party already started. Under FireFox the selection is invisible (under the newest one the message content in the past discussion acted as sort of a canvas and wanted to be dragged). Now I found out that you can see the selection if you change Focus (e.g. select text and place the cursor in the address bar). Not hte most usable thing ever. And now the surprise: in MS Edge it works just fine.

@hiuppo Zajrzałem do keszy - większość w Archiwum. Po tym i kilku innych przypadkach doszedłem do wniosku, że część wirtuali poszła po prostu do ludzi z długim stażem, którzy zakładali kesze jak gra była jeszcze mało popularna. IMHO nie najlepsze kryterium bo jest pełno graczy, którzy teraz robią dla gry dużo więcej niż tylko zapełnianie mapy.

Po zajrzeniu do profilu Autora ostatniego virtuala stwierdzam, że o jedną za dużo (lub ew. ktoś skopał algorytm). Rzadko jest coś mnie w stanie zniesmaczyć, ale to jest ten moment.

I didn't write that people without a smartphone don't exist. This is why I used the word "exception". I didn't mean to disregard cachers without one, I just consider calling it Today a special tool an overstatement. As for my location I'm from Poland (by no means a rich country) and maybe happen to notice a person with a simple cell phone once a month (in general, not only during caching).

It's 2018. Children have smartphones. People with simple cell phones are the exception here and every smartphone can have a QR app installed so I wouldn't consider it a special tool. As for diffuculty I'd add 0,5 star as I've meet cachers who had to have the QR "magic" explained. But still, it's not something difficult to understand. NFC is a different story but I usually see the wireless communication attribute used in such caches.

I think you got it a little bit the other way around. It's not that the interest in the cache decreases. It's that the interest in a new cache ( FTF to be speciffic) increases for some people. Each area has a different caching frequency patterns, which also depend on the type. For each cache it can increase over time (if it gains more FP in an area visited by tourists) or decreases if it's an average cache and the locals have already found it. These patterns get distorted by an FTF waiting. If there is an FTF waiting, I'll rush it. Otherwise I'll grab the cache next time I'm in the area. So I'm not unterested in the cache, I just don't have a reason to go only for that one (unless it's a gadget / T5 / Nice WiGo/ other factor that makes it exceptional).

Widzę, że mój własny temat został odkopany. Od tego czasu dorobiłem się premium na Project-gc i stwierdzam, że jednak jest bardziej użyteczne niż mogłoby się wydawać. Mapa powiatów działa też w przeglądarce telefonu, da się z niej kliknąć kesza tak, zęby otworzyć go od razu w C:geo (to już bardziej kwestia ustawień osobistych w Androidzie). CO ważne i użyteczne, da się też przesłać do mapy swoją bieżącą lokalizację zobaczyć na niej swoją pozycję. Dzięki temu, w nieznanym sobie rejonie kraju można i tak zobaczyć kesze w bieżącym i najbliższych powiatach. Opracowywanie terenu/trasy to osobna bajka i też nie jest źle.

The VAT thing is strange here as well. In which country is it paid? Is it even required? I mean, if I even buy physical merchandise from outside EU I'm not charged with and taxes if it's below 42 EUR (Amazon.com does it automatically but they really wouldn't have to for cheaper purchases). I'd understand if you charged extra for conversion from EUR to USD, but then again, there should be a choice...

Hi, I'm getting a multicurrency debit card (no commission regardless of the currency used) and I thought it'd be great to trimm the GC premium cost a little bit. I wanted to switch the Payment method from EUR to USD, as they are both 29.90 and the dollar is about20% cheaper. I'm located in Poland so EUR is NOT my country's currency. I was dissapointed to discover that I can't do that. Why does geocaching.com force me to use the more expensive of the foreign currencies available? I know the nominal difference isn't that big, but still it's about principles. P.S. This is how Project-GC handles this subject (SEK is the cheapest right now):

Załóż kilka eventów w swojej okolicy. Poznasz ludzi na żywo, a nie przez neta i może się z kimś zgadasz :). Teraz zobaczyłem, że jesteś z Poznania. na początek możesz się przejść na jakiś event.

I like to at least try to get an FTF in places which I visit for a few days or more. Of course the easiest way to do it is to set up the instant notifications. Unfortunatelly each new place means adding each type separately (considering the virtual awards are still in the process of appearing that means 8 regular types + Mega + Giga) with the need to type in the coordinates as they are filled in using 4 text boxes and 2 drop downs. A side effect of the "one type per notification" rule is that different locations get mixed up on the list when you add a notification for a new cache type. It almost looks like this is an intended lack of usability in orded to minimize the use of this feature (although it is one of the advertised advantages of the premium account). I think the following would be a great mprovement for people who want to sset up, enable and disable notofications for different areas: 1. Allow to set up a notification for multiple types at once (just like the types of events that are now available in the notification). 2. Use single field for providing the coordinates (just like the updating coordinates on the cache page works). 3. That's all! I think the 2 points mentioned abeve would be more than enough. I really hope this change is considered as it doesn't look like much work compared to the usability it would give.

Ja to to wyłączyłem w C:geo. Nie używałem, a kesz zawsze trochę szybciej się pobiera, co za granicą na zadoopiu ma znaczenie. Gdyby to było zintegrowane z GC to pewnie popularność byłaby większa, no ale są już FP.

1500 jednego dnia jest do wykręcenia na odpowiednim trailu, z odpowiednim teamem i stosując techniki dla PT. Wykręcanie znalezień na tym poziomie dzień po dniu już nie, bo warunkiem do powyższego jest zaczęcie o 0:00 i skończenie o 0:00. Poza tym sam widziałem brak keszy które MT logował jako znalezione. W sumie stąd o nim wiem - nieświadomie zalogowałem znalezienie jego podrzuconego drewniaczka zamiast kesza i ktoś mnie doedukował (miałem wtedy poniżej 100 keszy na koncie).

Ja się dziwię, że gościowi, który grozi niszczeniem skrytek ktoś w ogóle daje rady na forum...

FTF might be shared if a team went for it (which sometimes consists of event attendees). Other than that the only case I can think of where FTF goes not to the person who first found the cache (fonund, not spotted) would be a challenge where the first person at the cache doesn't meet the requirements. As simple as that.

How can such simple thing cause such confusion. First to Find is First to FIND, meaning finding the cache and signing the log. If ateam finds it, multiple people can have the FTF as they worked together. Logging from the field isn't of course mandataory but it's seen as COURTESY towards others playing the same side game. If you don't want to log a find because you want to write a longer story, you can either post a note (other hunters will probably have notifications set on the cache so they'll get an email), or log a find, and then at home delete it and log another with a longer story. This way the CO will get the notification with the full log. As for CO's regognising FTFs... read my first paragraph. I've seen a CO once who wrote to the finders (in cache note) that they should reconsider who got the FTF, because somebody used excel in solving a puzzle. Being stupid publicly doesn't change the fact who first got to the container...

I'm sensing we are getting only part of the story here. While I was trying to compile a list of reasons why I wouldn't reply to a geocacher in need a divorce never popped up...

Obawiam się, że najbezpieczniejsze pod tym względem będą centra miast (typu stare miasto). Oczywiście część keszy będzie gdzieś tam w znaku, czy wyżej za rynną, ale i tak będzie też sporo niżej położonych. Poza miastem raczej gorzej. Próbowałem sobie przypomnieć czy widziałem dłuższe ścieżki "w terenie" o takich właściwościach i nic ta próba nie dała. Nawet w parku najłatwiej ukryć kesza gdzieś w krzakach czy dziupli...
