  1. i just received my copy of topo canada and on every website it says that my explorist 210 is compatible. anyone have any experience in loading maps from topo canada to the explorist? i kinda would like to get this done before friay as i am going to ottawa and would love to have my maps in. when i load topo canada and search for my gps, it cant find it. i get a list of gps' that are compatable and the explorist is not there. all older models are listed and at version 5.xxx now my explorist is at 3.xxx i did get a firmware update cd but again all lists late models. can anyone help or have a walktrough on how to do this? thanks UPDATE: was able to do it all by myself!!!
  2. Do you mean "Mapsource Topo Canada"? LeBaron sells it. Check them out: http://www.lebaron.ca You can mail order from them IF you don't have a store in your city. As they say on their website, if you're in a Canadian city with one of their stores, they ask that you go pick things up. no. mapsend. it's a magellan product not garmin
  3. i want to buy mapsend topo canada for magellan explorist. i looked on ebay and there is not much choice and with a lot of sellers that are on vacation. do you have any suggestions? any sellers on the forum? and must be able to ship to canada it's cheaper to buy it online rather than localy.
  4. so it will find adresses? kinda does both then?
  5. i am interested in buying software for my explorist 210. i do not know if i should get: mapsend topo canada or Magellan MapSend DirectRoute. i do a bit of fishing and geocaching. is the topo good for traveling with? as in finding streets and addresses? what do u suggest i get? i might buy this software this weekend so your input is wanted.. pros and cons for both? good place to buy? canadian tire has em and i do have gift certificates for 30$ so price would be around $90 plus taxes as it is $119 retail and i dont know if it's on sale or not
  6. i was looking for something to use as a screen protector the other day and i ended up useing some packing tape. this stuff is strong and does not leave any residue. it has been on for about 2 weeks and took it off today to see how it came off.... cheap idea and can be done if u are in a hurry

  16. A free swap or do you have to pay something? Scott nope. $85 plus taxes and shipping. the total was $111.30. or $200 plus shipping and taxes for a used exp. 400.. so i got the 210 a little more i could have gotten a new one at gpscity.. oh well..
  17. i have an update. i was told my gps was un-repairable so bill's electronics will do a swap. im just waiting for it to come in the mail. here is a pic of the damage done. you can see the definite cracks from the screen.
