ya I tried that. It doesnt seem to matter if I highlight mapsend Or GSAK it always opens as GSAK

Every time I try to download a waypoint it saves it as a GSAK file and I cant open it in Mapsend. Just wondering what would cause that since I removed GSAK completly off my computer. any advice would be a ppreciated. Or if there is a different program that is better than mapsend. I just liked it cus it seems simple and I have an Explorist 500 thanks

thanks that helps. My only other question is why there is abbreviations for all different countries. Is that Datum specific to that country somehow? not that it matters but i was just curious. thanks for the help.

hello. Im pretty new to the Whole Gps/Geocaching picture. I just got an explorist 500 but I am confused about what all the different Datum options are and what is best. I didnt know if it varies with your location or what. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks
