  1. Happy New Year from Hawai'i! My New Year's Resolution is to be a better husband and father. However, it is kinda hard to improve on perfection!
  2. Out of the two that I have released both have gone "missing" from the very first cache I placed them in. So I still activate them but I don't release the actual geocoin into the wild anymore. I kinda expect them to turn up missing but not from the first cache they get placed into!
  3. I'll guess 12. Thanks for the cointest!
  4. I'm definately interested if the price is reasonable!
  5. Thanks for the comment Plnauta about my avatar! This is my fifth and final post! And I nominate....
  6. This is my fourth post! I would like to nominate....
  7. This is my third post. Again, I would like to nominate....
  8. This is my second post! I hereby nominate...
  9. Hmm, this is my first post! Thanks for the cointest, Tsun! And I nominate....
  10. Hmm, I started Geocaching earlier this spring as a way to get out of the house and find new areas that I wouldn't have found otherwise. My daughter is now my faithful geobuddy!
  11. I'm just happy that I survived a seizure and a surgery (I nearly didn't!) earlier this Spring and was able to see my daughter's Sweet-16 Birthday ealier this month. So for me, this is a very special Thanksgiving...
  12. Fairhoney - I've been part of the Air Force for almost 19 years and it sure has changed since I joined! If this post is selected as the geocoin winner I want you to select another deserving individual to receive the geocoin. Thank you for the cointest!
  13. I have to agree with the other posters. Proxy coins are great as long as they are identified as a proxy. Nothing is worse than going out to a cache and finding a copy when you were expecting the real deal.
  14. My story is slightly lame, I'll admit it but I'm gonna tell it anyway! My all-time favorite FTF was my very first one - Honu Beach Cache [GC102CV]. Honu is the Hawaiian term for sea turtle. The cache site is at one of my all-time favorite spots on O'ahu as the Honu drag themselves ashore on a fairly regular basis at this spot and I'm a fan of sea turtles. Let's put it this way, I can't count the number of time we have seen turtles on the beach & only once did we go out to this beach and not find a turtle... It's extremely rare not to find Honu on this beach!
  15. I would have to say that I'm thankful to be here to geocache! I had major surgery back in May and am still recovering. I live each day to the fullest now!
  16. Hmm, my second guess is going to be... Let's see... 300 coins x .34 ounce per coin... Carry the one... Heck with it, I just going to toss out a number! 15 lbs 3 oz.
  17. I had the exact same problem with a couple of my geocoins. A couple of experienced cachers "spammed" my coins. I would delete their logs & send them a polite note not to do it again. Sure enough, they did it again and again. Not only that, I received a threatening e-mail from one of them that, in a nutshell, said I would really "regret" it and threatened to report me to a certain Moderator if I continued to delete their logs. I ended up reporting them to Groundspeak and they put an end to their shenagans.
  18. There is a really one really close to the airport called the "COS Bug Depot" [GCC1B8]. There is also one to the west of COS in Woodland Park called the "Woodland Park Travel Bug Hotel" [GCMGQ9]. It is a nice 45-50 minute drive up Ute Pass. Hope this helps!
  19. Like so many other, e-mail sent!
  20. Ahhh! They are pretty! I can't choose which one I like the best but I can't really afford the entire set right now!
