  1. I happen to have four Evil Micro 2008 Geocoins up for trade! 3 Regulars and 1 LE that glows. I'm not really "jonesing" for any particular geocoins at the moment so I'm open to all and any offers. Just PM or e-mail me through my GC profile with your offer. Despite the appearance in the below photo, these coins are all shiny silver.
  2. Just order the 5-pack just for the XLE. Say, anyone interested in trading for the remaining four?
  3. I also received my entire set yesterday! Whew, they look better in person!
  4. I was rather hesitant to send my Colorado 300 back to Garmin and I feared that I would get another lemon back but the unit I received last week is a keeper!
  5. wazkaren - Don't give up! Garmin tech support ran me in circles for a while and "promised" that the next firmware version would resolve the clock issue. So, I patiently waited until 2.51beta was released before I declared shenanigans and sent the GPSr in for exchange. Personally, I've ran across good tech support folks at Garmin that really do try and resolve my issues, even if it means working from home on their own time. And I've across ran across not-so-good tech support folks at Garmin that are obviously reading off the firmware notes. Thankfully, I've dealt me more of the former than later. The functionality between the one I returned and its replacement is like night and day! The new one operates just like it should!
  6. Hey, Timpat. Your story sounds alot like mine, my original 300 had a serial number of 169000573 - only 6 lower than yours. Garmin also issued me a RMA and I recieved the replacement in just under the 10 business days that Garmin had promised. When I sent it back I only included the GPSr itself, I was rather suprised when Garmin shipped me a brand new GPSr back, complete with all the goodies in a sealed box! I also had to contact Garmin's customer support to obtain a new unlock code for my City Nav maps and it was a hassle-free experience! The GPSr I received as a replacement works like a champ, clock operates flawlessly, the batteries don't go flat as quickly, etc. I'm now a happy camper with Garmin again!
  7. I'll go with the San Jose Sharks. Dang, somebody beat me to them!
  8. Those AE's wont be for sale anyways... just for trades. But... Im working on two new versions right now... will post about them soon. OK, I retract what I said about retracting what I previously said about not purchasing the entire set! Unless you should include the color pink anywhere on the new coins. Then I reserve the exclusive right to reinstate my previous statement....
  9. Are you using one of the two Garmin Colorado's for your free month?
  10. Hey, no need to rub it in!! I think you have...............an AGENDA (dum, dum duuuuummmm). Although I used to live there as a kid, after we moved from Guam. Bet you can't figure out what my dad did...... Hmm, let me make a guess... Was he in the military?
  11. I retract what I said previously about having to puchase the whole set, I'll definitely draw the line when it comes to buying a polished gold with Pink geocoin.
  12. I suppose that is one way of looking at it! Still sucks as I have four different Garmin GPS's, instead of purchasing two copies of the software, I now have to purchase four! Needless to say, I have yet to upgrade all my GPS's to CN v9.
  13. I did something simular. I recently puchased a Garmin GPSMAP 60C & City Nav v6, which has been unlocked twice before, as a gift for my father-in-law. I had the guy save his registration/unlock code to a file and e-mail it to me. I registered them both, the GPSr and the software, through myGarmin and even asked product support is I was violating their terms of use policy and they replied with a "Nope!" I figure I can transfer it over to my father-in-law after he sets up his myGarmin acct.
  14. Hmm, I'm not trying to bag on you Eric but there seems to be a flaw in your logic. I totally agree with your first two points. But how does my purchasing a coin minted in China differ from a coin minted in this country? It still has to be mailed, evelopes still need to be purchased, labels still have to be printed, the fine folks at Groundspeak would be still get paid the same amount, etc. Dont get me wrong, I'm all for shopping around for the best deal but I see your points as meaningless as the same amount of money would have to be spent regardless of the place the coin was minted.
  15. TeamSeekAndWeShallFind - I'll just throw my two cents in here. I noticed you don't have any trackables yourself so let me tell you a story. I have placed exactly two trackables out in the wild and you know how far each one has traveled? If you guessed zero miles you are exactly right. One was last year when I was on the Mainland and the other was just before this Christmas here in Hawai'i. I fully expect them to get nabbed at some point but not out of the very first cache they are placed into. On a personal note, I do think it is total BS if the geocacher doesn't identify the geocoin is a copy in the title or at least somewhere in the description.
  16. One side of me says, "Yes! Yes!" and the other side says, "No! No!". If they come out with different combos then I'm going to just have to buy all the remint versions!
  17. I purchased a whole set! Yippie!
  18. Fact: There are 3000 lakes in this province. Joke: Knock, Knock. Who's their? Orange. Orange who? Orange you going to tell me if I won the cointest?
  19. To view the wonderful Hawaiian beaches I just have to spin around in my chair and look outside my office window. Sometimes living in paradise does have its perks!
  20. Any chance of you putting a black border around them? Like the two previous Evil Micro geocoins...
  21. My second and final guess will be 808! Thanks for the cointest!
  22. Consider yourself lucky, the price of gas is something like $3.77/gal for regular here in Hawaii.
  23. genegene - I really don't understand what your point is. Here are the facts, as I see them: 1. "Some exceptions can be made. In these situations, permission can be given by Groundspeak." 2. Permission was granted by Groundspeak as evidenced by, "Published with permission of Groundspeak, Inc." If TPTB granted permission for this event I see that as the final word.
