Bookmark lists Regarding NYS DeLorme Challenge
cachefamily replied to Ziggy Crew's topic in Northeast
Just adding my two cents worth in support of Ziggy Crew. I place my caches so others get enjoyment out of them, not to have a possession. Log a find, don't log a DNF, write a note...whatever makes you enjoy the game...just don't be offensive to others. Play the game, let others play their way, enjoy and don't sweat the small stuff. At least on my caches! -
I'm also in Middletown so if I can help you out let me know. Steve

And back to Orange County we have to mention the host of this thread brian b. I have only found 5 of his listed 35 caches (4 being part of a micro series), but he has a reputation for only hiding quality caches.

Congrats Floopy

I do have a Bookmark of all the caches in Stewart Forest on my profile. I also have some unofficial maps that may be helpful. Email me if interested.

There's about 20 caches in the Stewart Forest next to Stewart Airport in Newburgh/Maybrook, NY. The trails range from old roads to single tracks. EDIT: I created a Bookmark List and I'll link it once I figure out how. Stewart Forest

Congrats Ed -
I have twenty something FTFs. I keep planning to go through my logs to get the exact number but I don't really care enough to put the effort into it.

Go Floopster!!!

I would have no problem with that idea. I think you would want to make sure the cache is always stocked with trade items AND with your signature item. Send me an email if you want to trade for my wooden nickel

I'm about 75 driving miles North West of GZ in New York and would be proud to represent NY. Let me know.

Ever Had A Cache Log Make Your Day???
cachefamily replied to Snoogans's topic in General geocaching topics
This is my favorite log. I even emailed the finder to let him know. I then had the pleasure to meet him and his family at a cache event he co-hosted soon after that. -

My condolences. My family and I always enjoyed Bill's caches. He brought us many great moments.
-
Now that's what I was looking for. Where did you order those from? I also still need to get your wooden nickel.
-
Feel free to Markwell me but now that I have a bag full of wooden nickels I'd like some ideas on how I can display them.
-
I'm getting a new batch of nickels if anyone else is interested in trading. You can see them earlier in this topic here: Wooden Nickels Post #171 if the link doesn't work.

Congrats...we have over 5,200 caches between us and we've never met up on the trail.

Great job Bob. Now for the 100th FTF! Steve

cachefamily replied to Nuwati's topic in Northeast
There actually are three brand new caches in Roscoe, NY. If you take Route 84 east from Scranton, PA and then 17 West to Roscoe, NY you come right through my area and I can give you a bunch to do. -

I had the pleasure of meeting John once up here in New York. We had done the Where's in a Name Cache and met for coffee a month or so later during his travels. We also searched for a cache in CT together as we were both traveling east. My condolences go out to all the others that knew him. ~Steve
