  1. That date sounds good to us. How about a little earlier so we can do a cache or 2 if we want to? Bubba, let us know what we can do.....
  2. Thanks for the advice Mtn-Man. Hopefully some of us can get this thing off the ground. Seems like many of us do not read the forums!
  3. Bubba, We would definitely come, and would like to help organize it, although not sure how to do it! Why not make the entire thing an event cache that we DON'T log because we would be logging the ones at the park; UNLESS we hide a cache somewhere there just for the Event itself. Maybe a multi or puzzle (something a little difficult) Can we get a one time cache approved? If not, then we could just publish it offline and hand out the cache pages. I really have NO idea about these things.... Maybe someone else has some ideas. I will also talk to some others who have done Event Caches and respond. Pudman
  4. Shoot me an Email on when ya'll plan to get together. I may be coming for a work weekend at the hunting camp soon and could combine the two! Pudman
  5. Sure does! Their mother (Pookie's Aunt)just recently died, too. Man, what a small world! Maybe we'll see ya at this gathering or we can meet up sometime when I'm heading to the hunting camp down there... By the way, why does your profile read Shewolfen? Pudman
  6. AMEN to COOLER weather and LESS TICKS!! We are ready for fall, too....bow hunting, deer hunting, dove hunting, duck hunting, cache hunting....yeah, CACHE HUNTING! Thats what this topic was about!! Let us know how we can help with the meeting.... PS:Jocosa, know any Embergs or Jacksons from CH?
  7. Even though ours is similar to someone else's, we think it portrays us pretty good! P.S. Pudman is the kid frantically searching for the treasure while Pookie sets back and laughs at him!
  8. I, too, am having some difficulty navigating through the site's new features. While I am thankful for all the hard work TPTB do, It seems as though the "user-friendly" site we used to know is now gone! Imagine a Newbie who has never read the forums trying to navigate this! It has definitely hindered my recent cache hunting trips, but so has the HEAT and a new metal detector! Pudman On Edit: brown nose thread= LOL!!!
  9. TB torture chamber=OK TB jail= BAD The person below me caught athlete's feet from the person above me. Now he eats his homemade toe cheese.
  10. I have a 120 and you could not talk me into a 110 to save your life. Mapping capability is where its at!! SAVEUP!! Get the 120! As far as GMRS, see This Post.
  11. I agree with Renegade
  12. [/Quote]Sorry but that's wrong. A GMRS radio not only has some different frequencies but transmits at a higher power; 2w instead of 1/2w. Because of this, if you're using a GMRS radio, no matter what frequency you're using, you must be licensed or are violating federal law. BUSHWA!! Rino's operate at 1/2 Watt on frs and I think 1 Watt on gmrs or so I've been told. Anyway, this interpretation of the law is a moot point due to the obvious lack of enforcement by the FCC who made the rules about Gmrs in the 1st place!
  13. What the heck--send it to me, too, please! I didn't see anyone from Alabama responding!
  14. You can only edit one at a time on Easy,as far as I know. I haven't tried Expert, yet. EasyGPS isn't supported anymore, is it?
  15. DUH!! I'm suffering from DA syndrome! I guess I will get after those BM's now! Still....Would be nice to have link on main page.

  17. Although I don't hunt BM's regularly, I would probably do more if the link was there. I KNOW I would if there was a link to "nearest BM" on the cache page I was looking at.
  18. Red IS gone!! Thank You! Page looks much better now. I, too, will be glad when and if the search from My Cache Page either automatically removes ones I've found and hidden or puts them at the bottom of the page as before. But, I can be patient.
  19. quote:Originally posted by Web-ling:I love it! But what's with the funky colors? The reddish color on green is really bad for those of us who are somewhat red-green colorblind... http://www.web-ling.com http://www.ntxga.org I agree....Red on Green is too hard to read. Glad Jeremy is on that already.
  20. Blah, blah, blah.... In the end, it is only decent to RESPECT the wishes of the TB owner by HELPING the Bug reach its GOAL. Here's some quotes for you, too: Proverbs 13:13 He who scorns instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command is rewarded. Pudman
  21. I think Garmin's site shows some different map screen detail:GARMIN
  22. I, too, have met a few cachers on the trail and all seem like good people. Bubba: I Dropped "Joshua's Dobbie" in the only cache I could find that you haven't hit yet!! Had to be a quickie 'cause we're headed to Gulf Shores Sunday & didn't want to keep it forever! (will definitely be doing some caches there!) Hey,my soon-to-be sister-in-law works at Southtrust, too! I would be interested in helping with getting a club started, too, although not sure what I could do. Ya'll keep me in the loop, OK? I'm game for lunch, too!! Pudman
