I never did like stollen - my mother used to make it and everyone except me liked it. Brian - I thought you were talking about caches being stolen. This thread peaked my curiousity because today I was looking for one you placed and my gps said I was right on top of it - but I never found it. If I find a stollen in a cache I will probably leave it and hopefully take something else. I'd love the troll. I actually had a mini troll with me to place in your cache today if I found it, maybe another time . . .

Duke is a beauty. Enjoy him! Miko comes out hiking and now caching with us. She seems to have a better sense of direction than me too - her instincts always got us where we needed to be before the GPS!

I'm an avid hiker and had never even heard of it until this past Friday night when I was reading the book for my handheld GPS. Went out in search of the first cache yesterday while on a 7 mile hike. This just adds another exiting dimension to our hikes. Can't wait to go for the next. Probably go to bed after the ball drops and up early to hunt for the next! I'm hooked and now completely focused on the next!!

My first find was yesterday (12/30/06). How cool it was! We were out for a 7 mile hike and decided to give it a go. I am now hooked! May go out New Year's Day for another. I just got the GPS last weekend and wasn't sure how it was going to work. Well the GPS was right on the money - we found the cache within 1 foot.
