I am getting a bonus from work soon (woohoo!) and I'm planning on spending some of it on a new GPS.
My current GPS is a Magellan Explorist 500. It is only used for geocaching. It is and has been a good GPS for that purpose.
I use it in conjunction with my work laptop and my blackberry for paperless caching. The Explorist stores the hint, difficulty/terrain, gc number and some other information and I look up everything else via my blackberry.
I've read lots of debate about whether the 60Csx or the Oregon is the way to go, but I honestly don't know a lot about the earlier models like the 60.... Do they have similar geocaching features as my Explorist?
Is the Oregon/Colorado better than the 60Csx? Is the Triton (with the newer firmware) better than the Oregon/Colorado?
I'm interested in hearing from people who have experience with both Magellan and Garmin units. I will listen to those who have only used one or the other, but I don't want a fanboy-type response. I don't want to hear how Magellan sucks and Garmin is the best. They both suck in some ways, I'm just trying to find the one that sucks the least
Thanks in advance,
Mason
