  1. I've only owned Garmin's, but I recently upgraded from a 60C to a 60CSx, and I can vouch for the x making a huge difference in sensitivity. I get good signal in wooded areas where I had no signal previously. It also acquires noticably faster. I'm so happy with it. Rainking
  2. A few weeks ago, my buddy, Burdundi, and I were after a micro in a park. We waited at least 45 minutes for what I referred to as "the most comfortable muggle in history" to move from a park bench. It was painful, we could literally see the cache from where we were standing, but this guy was just so happy sitting there!! We jokingly tried to think of ways to make him uncomfortable, like paying one of the nearby "urban outdoorsmen" to throw up on him... Anyway, he finally departed and we logged the cache. But there have been many caches I have just totally given up on because there always seem to be people around. I don't like feeling uncomfortable, and I prefer boxes in the woods anyday! Rainking
  3. I'm a newbie, so my opinion is worthless, but here it is anyway. If you need to suspend new locationless caches till they can better be handled, fine, but don't start breaking things out into their own categories and names or it will never end. I agree that benchmarks are a whole different animal and should be handled as such, but I think if we start separating locationless from other cache types, then pretty soon, someone will be wanting to separate virtuals, and multis, and water caches and land caches and caches that are in trees. Why? Who cares? It just adds unneeded complexity. If you don't want to do a locationless, don't. If you don't want to do a virtual, don't. But I think separating them into different categories other that the categories that are there now is just a waste of time. And the 'i wouldn't want to soil my count by logging a locationless'? Please, get a life. Rainking
  4. I was trying to come up with a signature item and was thinking a tire air guage would be nice. Everyone always needs one in their car. The last one I bought was like $1. I looked today at Wal-Mart and the cheapest one was $4. Jeez. Inflation! Well, back to the drawing board! Rainking
  5. When you're walking in the woods in Georgia, and you don't even think about seeing a snake then it has to be really cold! Rainking
  6. Cache sneakers should come pre-mudded with briars sticking out of them and little compasses in the toes. Rainking
  7. I agree. I love this software!! Check this one out. I thought the face on Mars was cool. This one is in North Georgia. N 34 8.3749 W 84 45.4619 Rainking
