I recently finished a hiking trip in Switzerland and did some caching along the way. One thing I found useful was using http://babelfish.altavista.com. Most of the cache postings were in German, and I used this site to translate the page. It has a feature to translate text and another to translate a complete webpage. It tries to do a good job, but sometimes the translations come out pretty humorous.

A familiar name on all the local (and sometimes not so local) caches. Now I know why...congratulations.

I'll be in Boise on Friday 5/27 for a couple days and would like to do some hiking and caching while there. If anyone has suggestions for caches that are reachable in 1 day out of Boise, I'd appreciate your input. I am looking more for quality of the terrain as opposed to quantity of the caches. I know there must be some good ones out there!!! Thanks.

I guess I'm one of the two at stage 4. I've worked this by myself, starting in a snowstorm Jan 2003. The last stage has discouraged me, but with all the interest at the moment, I'm feeling the nail once again. When I'm into it, I can't think of anything else. Good luck to all who are gathering tomorrow to start. I certainly would enjoy working with someone--to be able to toss ideas back and forth.
