  1. I know this is off topic but after reading 5 lengthy pages of whining and moaning this post was a breath of fresh air. This guys logic is undeniable. I wish we could all walk through life with that kind of attitude.
  2. The eXplorist 210 is waterproof at IPX6, the eXplorist models 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 500LE, and 600 are waterproof at IPX7. What's the difference? 6 Protected against heavy seas. Water projected at all angles through a 12.5mm nozzle at a flow rate of 100 liters/min at a gage pressure of 100kN/m2 for 3 minutes from a distance of 3 meters. 7 Protected against water immersion. Immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter. So get the 210 and save some cache as long as you don't see an immersion in it's future!
  3. So I know I've gotta be super cheap to not pay for a premium membership and get GPX files. I don't know if geocaching will be a phase that I stop doing after a while so I'm trying not to invest a whole lot. I got an explorist 200 for $45 at academy. They are no longer carrying it and it was the display model that sat in the case. At any rate I have a mac so I just print the geocache pages in their entirety as PDF files from my web browser. Then I bluetooth them to my palm. I have installed a free program PalmPDF which allows me to view the whole page offline from my PDA.
