  1. I don't know when it happen, but it's fixed
  2. You can't look at a users geocaches if they have a '+' in their profile name, you get a random blank search page back. I'm using the 'old' profile pages. If you try to use the new profile page you get an error 404 for the profile. -- Goto Andy+Loo profile, -- Click on 'Geocaches' -- Click on any of the categoies (E.g. trad, multi etc). -- You get a random blank page.
  3. Oh yeah, you're right. I wonder who thought that would be a good idea!
  4. You can already do that by clicking on "My finds" or "My hides" under "Filter caches" in the left-hand panel
  5. I would think the answer would be .... "No"! BUT, you're probably better off joining the Village sign group on facebook and asking the question there. The group is here .... https://www.facebook.com/groups/164730417061185/
  6. The geocaching maps page keeps locking up my Firefox. I get a pop up "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding", pressing 'continue' or 'stop script' makes no difference, haven't tried 'Debug script'. It usually appears while scrolling the map. It freezes Firefox completely - the only way out is to fire up the task manager and kill Firefox. It started happening a few days ago, coinciding with all the other high-jinks with double menus, missing options etc.
  7. I keep getting that as well, refreshing the page usually fixes it for me. I think it must be a server problem - there's quite a few other things going wrong as well at the moment, it's affecting c:geo as well.
  8. Where can I find/open this script to make this change (Firefox)? I have a reasonably good understanding of what I'm doing, just can't find the core script to edit. Adding a link to a correct script for an easy click and use would also be awesome. In Firefox Go to Menu -> Addons --User scripts --Click on 'Options' in GME --click on "Edit this user script"
  9. Yup, me too. Makes me realize how much I used this extension - lost without it!
  10. I just got an Email titled "Bing Maps AJAX Control v7 and SOAP Web Services Deprecation" Seems version 6.3 will reach end-of-life on November 30, 2016. Any effect on GME, or what? I can copy the entire mail if you need, but I suspect all users will get one soon. Alan T.
  11. Ah - Excellent. Any other undocumented features we might find useful?
  12. As a possible enhancement, I'd like to be able to place a marker pin on the map. E.g. Once I've solved a puzzle, I'd like to be able to type in the co-ords (In various formats) and have a pin appear on the map so I can see where it is.
  13. The Update to 0.7.3.1 broke it for me, The menu in the bottom/left corner disappeared (The one with location info tool / route tool etc.)
  14. If you go to your normal profile page, just to the right of your name in the top bar there is a pull-down arrow. GME settings for the cache pages are there.
  15. I tried JimJinks solution, it works fine.
  16. Hi there, I've only been geocaching for a couple of weeks, I'm enjoying it a lot and thought I'd spotted a way to easily put something back into the hobby. There's a cache near me that is in very poor condition ("Log Book", GC31DH8) and several people have commented on it. The owner has only 'found' six caches and hasn't been active for over two years. I sent the owner a message via geocaching.com asking if I could adopt it and got an almost immediate reply saying they'd be very happy for me to take it over. I replied saying they need to "offer it" to me via the website and giving instructions with links to the adoption page etc. Since then I've heard nothing despite another enquiry. I suspect they've left the hobby or maybe lost their login details and can't be bothered to sort it out just to run the adoption process. Is there anything I can do? Obviously I realize you can't just go around adopting caches without the owners consent but is there any procedure to cover this case? I have the email from the owner saying they're happy for me to go ahead but can't do anything without their co-operation. Thanks for any help.
