My all-time favorite is the Vereen Memorial Gardens Cache. There are two recent additions in this park: I Could Use A ? Right Now and The New Knot Hole Cache - three fun caches in one great park bordering the Intercoastal Waterway.
My first GPSr was the ETrex Legend. It served me well until it decided one day to stop communicating with my laptop?!? I interpreted this as a sign to upgrade. Bought a Garmin 60C which I've been using for about 6 months with great success. Accuracy is much improved vs the legend; battery life about 2x.
I might add that I don't believe that will happen, because the private sector has used the GPS sysytem for many economically valuable uses, and the military has developed better technology.
The killer would be if the gov't reinstituted "intentional degradation" of the GPS satellite signals.....that would effectively kill us. I can't picture the newly re-elected administration doing that, but who knows what the future holds.......
Followup - I just got a new laptop that has bunches of USB ports but no SERIAL port, yet EasyGPS seems to want to look there for my 60C - any help?
