  1. I don't see a "Visit log" link on either your profile page or on mine. Can you give an example?
  2. I just tested it, and I can indeed create and edit logs again. Thanks for the post!
  3. I have the same problem on the website. In my case it's because my computer and browser are old, and a recent gc.com update made it incompatible with older versions of Firefox. To create or edit logs I have to use a borrowed smartphone. The phone is also kind of old, and the geocaching app won't work on it, but using its default browser I can write logs. It's not at all convenient, but at least it works. If you specify what versions of Firefox and Chrome you're using, maybe someone can tell you if that's the problem for you as well.
  4. Same here, using an old version of Firefox on an old iMac. As a temporary workaround, click on the trackables link and then edit the resulting URL, changing "hide" to "track".
  5. Thanks for the info. I might try that, if gc.com doesn't fix the problem. For now, I've found that I can log caches using a borrowed smartphone, so at least I have a workaround.
  6. I'm not sure. Based on what I've found online, I think I could upgrade my operating system to 10.12 but nothing beyond that. But I haven't determined what version of Firefox (or some other browser) that would let me run, and I don't know what version is required for the new logging flow. I'm reluctant to take the time and risks of upgrading unless I'm pretty sure it would solve the problem.
  7. Does anyone know what the system requirements are for the new logging flow? I have an old computer, running Mac OS X 10.11 and Firefox version 78.15.0esr (64-bit), and when I try to log anything I get a blank window. If I knew what version of Firefox the new logging flow requires then maybe I could check to see if my hardware is capable of running it.
  8. Thanks, but that doesn't work for me either. It fails in the same way as I described earlier.
  9. I just tried to log a cache, and it didn't work. As soon as I clicked on "Log geocache" from the cache page, the form to create a log appeared in my browser, but it disappeared in a fraction of a second, replaced by a blank window. I've tried this several times on both caches and trackables, with the same result. If I press the escape key as soon as the form appears, I can sometimes prevent the blank window, but the form doesn't work: Clicking the arrow for selecting the log type doesn't show the menu of options. I'm using Firefox version 78.15.0esr (64-bit) under Mac OS X 10.11.
  10. That's a reason to disallow editing a Reviewer Note after submitting the cache. But surely the CO should be able to edit it before then.
  11. Thanks for the advice. If the problem happens again I'll give that a try.
  12. I've received the souvenir, just about 2 hours after contacting the gc.com Help Center. That was quick! The reply said "Sometimes our souvenirs get a bit tangled up. I have now applied the souvenir that you requested to your account.".
  13. It appears that the website uses different time zones in different parts of the site. I mentioned what happened to a friend yesterday, and he sent a picture of the Leaderboard showing today's date for my find. But when I go to the Geocaches tab of my profile and click on "Lab Cache" I see a list of all the Adventure Labs that I've logged, and it shows yesterday's date for the same find.
  14. I haven't received the International Geocaching Day 2023 souvenir. According to this blog post, to get it I needed to log any geocache, Adventure Lab® Location, or Event on August 19 or August 20. I logged an Adventure Lab yesterday, and the website shows that I did (and it has the right date, 8/20). Has anyone else had the same problem?
  15. How do you find scripts like that? When I go to project-gc's search page for challenge checkers https://project-gc.com/Tools/Challenges, I only see checkers for challenge caches, not for things like the Wheel of Challenges.
  16. Thanks. It appears to be a PM feature; I can't see my own statistics, or control anything about them.
  17. I don't see an Action column on my profile page. The columns I see are About, Geocaches, Trackables, Souvenirs, Gallery, Lists, and Statistics. Is the Action column for premium members only, or am I looking in the wrong place?
  18. Thank you for posting this and the other links. I had already saved all of my own logs and pictures, but it's nice to know that at least some of the data from other people is still available.
  19. After many hours of tedious work, I managed to save all of my benchmark logs and pictures. But I only had 289 logs and about 700 pictures. I feel sorry for the people who have hundreds or thousands more than that, who haven't had time to save them before November 1, or who felt that it wasn't worth the effort. And then there are all the people who don't follow the forums, who may not even realize that their logs and pictures are going to disappear. This decision should at least have been announced in an email to everyone who ever logged a benchmark.
  20. Can you be more specific about how much time we have? Saying "Sometime after November 1, 2022 and before the end of the year" isn't very helpful. Saving just the logs won't take too long. I can open each one in my browser and save it as an HTML file. But the photos are more of a problem. I have to click on the smallest version at the bottom of a log to make it show up as a medium sized version, then click on that to get the large version, and then save that to a JPG file. If I knew that the photos weren't going to be deleted, I could skip that. Each HTML file contains the URLs of the associated photos, so I can still view them (for now) by opening the file. So will you please let us know if the photos going to be removed?
  21. I agree with that completely. Losing the ability to log benchmarks makes me sad, but having all of my logs disappear makes me angry! Geocaching HQ, please reconsider this decision. Or at least guarantee that the change won't happen so soon. If our logs are going to disappear from the site, then I want to save mine offline. That's a time-consuming process, and the 2 weeks between now and November 1 may not be enough.
  22. It's not just a problem near the dateline. I'm in the same timezone as geocaching.com's headquarters, UTC-7. Yesterday evening, well before midnight, I logged an Adventure Lab cache and obtained a souvenir, but both are shown with today's date. I also logged 2 ordinary caches, which correctly showed yesterday's date.
  23. I have a similar problem. Yesterday afternoon I logged a cache, which gave me the "International Geocaching Day 2022" souvenir. The website correctly shows that I got it on August 20. A few minutes later I logged another cache, which gave me the "Signal’s Labyrinth: The cave" souvenir, but the date for it is August 21. I'm in the Pacific time zone, UTC-7. So are both of the caches that I logged.
