This seems like a great idea. I have a few coins that I activated but am afraid to release because I don’t want them stolen like my dad’s 2006 Compass Rose Gold Geocoin. But this here is a great idea. I wouldn’t mind being part or starting another one with one of my geocoins.

Very cool.....I have a trade set up with the owner of the grape one. But how can I find the owner of a blue one??? Will there be a list of people with the colors they have to make trades??

I have never listened to his show. But just think that people wanting him fired did more good for him than the bad people wanted. Now he no longer has a contract with the company he was with. Now he can go onto Sirus or whatever other one and say whatever he wants now and not get into trouble. Just like Howard Stern did. Just my 2 Geocents worth or in this case 2 Iconcents. But anyway congrats on the 1000 icons.

And that is exactly why fake/copy coins should not be tolerated. As long as people think it's OK to circulate coin photos and poker chips with tracking numbers on them, coin thieves have an advantage... they can steal a coin, replace it with a paper copy and people down the line will think that the coin owner just wanted it that way. Better to not circulate a coin at all then send out a copy, IMO. If you're gonna make a fake coin... do it with some style. (I know I've used this photo before... but the same thread keeps getting repeated.) Could you please email me and tell me how you did these. I have the plastic case and I can get a washer but what is the black ring?

Hello, I just wanted to thank all who has pre~ordered my first Geocoin. I am thinking about ending the pre~sale for now. But not sure about this at this time. I have only a few sets out of what I was going to order left. I would like to keep these for trades or for later purchases from a few cachers and family who are cachers but don't come in the forums. I have saved everyones screen name that wanted to do trades only. I will contact these people once the coins come in. To the ones that emailed me about trading for full sets I don't know at this time if I can do this. I want to make sure I have enough for others. I may do another order in awhile to do this. When I contact about trades I will start at the top of my list then work my way down. I will contact so many at a time. To make sure that I don't use up all of a metal before I offer to someone else. Looks of things I will have a few LE's also left over. I don't know at this time if I will trade these or hold them for if I do another order later. I will also have XLE's for trade total of 30. 15 of 2 different ones. Also I will have 10 XXLE's for only gifts (I will not be trading these ones at this time. Depending on how long I have them). LE's, XLE's, and XXLE's will not be made again this will be the only run. Once again thank you to everyone. I am still working on the icon (trying to figure out what I want to use). What if a person made a fake/copy of a coin they owned. Then sent it out in a cache and on the coin page put that it was a copy of the coin so people would know when they got the coin(for someone new who never seen a geocoin)? I am not sure if I explained what I am thinking properly but I gave it a shot. Also what about sample coins? They may say trackable at GC.com but not have a tracking code on it. Would it be ok to do this not to replace a activated coin. But with a note for it was a sample and wanted to share it with someone and it was for keeps. Would this be ok??
