  1. Heading to San Diego... I am going to San Diego Thursday, Friday, & Saturday for a work convention. Plan do some caching while down there. If you have any bugs that need to head south let me know. If there are any caches that I shouldn't miss while there, let me know that too. Thanks. David of the Camelot Crew

The 12 Step Program is something many of us could use. When I see these caches I am always in awe...Do I NOT have enough free time, Do I lack the energy to create such a cache, or am I just not smart enough. Probably all of the three . Thanks for sharing Ron. -- David

When I first placed this subject on the forum I didn't anticipate all the response. Glad other people think about these things too.

Checking in as instructed. Don't know what to think of these site improvements. Stuff missing, then not missing, then moved around. Hope things settle down soon. Doesn't seem like there is ever enough time to cache. Hopefully get some time this weekend. David
  7. quote:Originally posted by Green Achers: Anyone interested in going out to http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=38255 to gather my T-Bug? It spent the winter out there but should be ok to hunt now that everythings dry. _Bill of Green Achers_ Sure. Love to go caching with someone. Let me know. David of Camelot Cache Hunters
  8. Maybe we should change our name to Ant Magnets!
  9. quote:It's approved (as there were no train tracks nearby). http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=59928 Too bad the park is closed at night because this would be a ''best hunted at night'' cache. Pictures will be value added even though it's very huntable without them. Fun one to hunt with the family. You don't need the photo either. Very huntable without. You could however eliminate the ants. What is it with our family and ants? We did manage avoid any problems. The ants also reminded us that we need to get back to GiddyUp! and finish our hunt there. Never enough time with three chitlans. Maybe this weekend? Also caught up with Ron while caching. Had a nice chat. Sorry to steal the thunder on this one Ron. You won't hold that against us I hope. Anyway, our thanks to Mr. Toad and Green Achers for the fun. -- Camelot Cache Hunters

You're probably right. My post was only meant to be funny, not factual. I have'nt gone after that cache yet. Actually planning a kayak/cache day as it should be warming up soon. Should have went last weekend, but too much going on.

  14. This guy needs to move along... Rodzilla He currently resides at Creek and two roads Those other racers still need some rest.
  15. The Cannonball Run is under way. Time to get out there and find some bugs. Race details can be viewed at the Official Website which includes stats and a tracking map. Or you can visit the Travel Bug thread to read more posts at 1ST ANNUAL TRAVELBUG CANNONBALL RUN!
  16. quote:Originally posted by JaimeeG:It is just my opinion that most of the missing caches are not the result of rogue cachers! Jaimee I would agree with you Jaimee. Although still relatively new at this (geocaching), I have learned that the people who do participate are of fairly good caliber. Not likely that a fellow cacher is stealing caches. Very likely that people who stumble upon them, or see someone hunting them might take the cache. That just means we have to be creative in how we hide them. Right?

I know its a way to drive, but we're worth it, right? Plus there's lots of great caches up here, including http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=57117. Ok, that was a shameless plug but what the heck. Lil Devil http://www.lildevil.org/images/smiley/lildevil.gif Wish we could make it. Too much going on this weekend like MRI's on knees and spring cleaning at home. I have the Lil Devil Decoder Ring if any needs it. Looks like a fun cache to hunt. -David
  20. quote:Originally posted by Marky: The only way to get something un-archived is to e-mail Jeremy or one of the approvers. Nice to know that there is help for those who make rookie mistakes. [This message was edited by Camelot Cache Hunters on March 04, 2003 at 09:00 AM.]
  21. We had a great time the Strings event. Thanks again to Fallen and if I remember right, JaimeeG who originally got the dinner idea going with Olive Garden for the 1 year anniversary. As a newbie it was nice to be included. The crew from Camelot enjoyed meeting so many others and learning some tips for better Geocaching. My first placement Is Your GPSr Off Target is gone After reading the post by Marky I went to check it. So here is my question...I archived the cache because it is gone and don't want to rehide in the same spot, but after doing that I saw the temporary disable button. If I want to change the coordinates and rehide will I be able to bring this back from the archives? David

  23. This confirms the way I felt too. Support the site, give paying users first shot, and then open things up for others later. Of course, I don't see myself only placing MOC's either. Thanks for everyone input. David

  25. What is the opinion on subscriber only caches? I'm wondering what criteria others use to decide if they are going to make a cache subscriber only. David
