  1. A fellow cacher has moved his cache, but needs to know how to change the coordinates to the new location.
  2. I have auto-renewal for my premium membership, I have changed credit card. How do I change to the new CC number.
  3. I am not seeing "Publish Listing" as an option.
  4. I was wondering where the "needs maintenance" button went. This should be added to the "learn" tab.
  5. I found the answer to my own question. Connect the GPS by a cable to a USB port. It comes up like a memory stick. Choose Oregon 700/Garmin/GPX. You will see the cache codes with dates, and can delete the ones you no longer need.
  6. Yes, I have an SD card. I will try again with it out. I have a couple more questions. 1. How do I mark a new waypoint? The manual mentions clicking on the map, but what if I place a cache, and want the GPS numbers for it? 2. How do I delete Caches that I have located, and don't need in the GPS anymore? I tried it with the SD card out, but still no luck.

  8. I can send caches to the 700, but not the comments, or the logs.
  9. Well, it didn't help. so I will just use paper :-)
  10. Well, I tried it again last night, still no luck. Is it safe to assume that it works for you? I sent an email to geocaching.com, and they said they don't know anything about Oregan 700s,. and suggested I try the forums Try Setup > Reset > Reset All Settings on the Oregon 7x0, then try again. Well I reset it, and it cleared up some other problems I was having. I will try registering again at home tonight. I don't have WiFi access at work.

  12. Yes, I got a code, and hit confirm. Here are the instructions from Garmin: Registering your device with Geocaching.com 1 Connect to a wireless network 2 From the app drawer, select Setup>Geocaching>Register Device. 3 Follow on-screen instructions. 4 Select Confirm Registration. After a few moments, I get "Registration Failed. It never asked for an address, but as you can see, it claims to be registering with geocaching.com I wonder if the page Garmin is using is now 404? I have followed some links on geocaching.com that end up 404 (page not found).
  13. I upgraded to Premium, but still can't register my 700 with geocaching.com
  14. I just tried to register my Oregon 700 with geocaching.com, but I get a "registration failed" message. I have WiFi enabled, and I am 2 feet from the router. What else could be the problem? Do I have to be a Premium member to register a device?
  15. I just got a Oregon 700. The manual mentions "App Drawer" dozens of places, but they never say where to find the "App Drawer". I did an online search, and this was the only clue! App Drawer = Main Menu. Thanks!
  16. I didn't wait to look at the Oregon 700. I found one on eBay in "new condition" and bid. I won it, now I just have to wait until it arrives
  17. Testing 1,2,3 Looks like it worked, thanks! It might not hurt to update the instructions :-)
  18. I have managed to set my avatar on many other forums, but I don't see "My Account" anywhere. What are you calling the "Home Page"?
  19. Yes they are Garmin, and on a SD card. I will go to a store and look at the Oregon 700. They look nice online.
  20. I would have to get a new phone, since the GPS on mine isn't worth a darn.
  21. GPS performance is pretty much the same. Perhaps a little better in some situations as you get the extra satellites from Glonass. I owned a 60Cx for many years. I would stop by a store, though, and first look at other options like Oregons. The screens are much better. Can the Oregon 700 use the same topo set as the 60Cx? It would be cheaper, since I already paid for the topo set.
  22. I was just looking at the reviews of the 64st on Amazon. The worst complaints came from owners of the 60 series GPS. Most of the positive ones were noobies, or owners of other brands of GPS. Maybe I will just live with printing out details of caches
