  1. You guys are too clever... I don't remember Cupid - that's no name for a reindeer! hehe There's a song or something like that using all the names. Well done CnC
  2. Aha!!! Donner Blitsen Dasher Dancer Prancer Rudolph Vixen How many were they, these are the ones I can rememeber off by heart? Don't know who came later.
  3. Shame - this poor racer... it just doesn't seem to get to take-off regarding miles. hehe It did go all the way to Bazaruto with us as well, but it didn't get to stay in any caches there - and alas! no photos on the beach either.. At least we had best intentions..
  4. Sjoe, wat 'n mylpaal, Gerhard!! Ai, binnekort jaag ek weer 'n paar nommers. Baie geluk en mag daar nog 1000de wees!
  5. So how are they then classified as mammals?
  6. Congratulations from our side as well to iPajero!!! Both on finding 2500 caches and also on finding the Final Tonteldoos Groot Skat!!
  7. Hey guys - yes, did know the answer - saw the question onFriday just before leaving work, but I don't get much time for Intenet browsing over the weekends these days - so then I wouldn't have been able to check check you guys' answers regularly... I do have a question though..... how do you beat a big guy with a hammer so that you can feel better, without killing him? Sorry - just frustration - I feel better now.
  8. As I understand it, the Earth Cache visited must be the first visit to it as well. Because one must add the answer sheet and the link of the find-log to the e-mail sent to Cincol. So I would guess that if the cacher can do 6 new Earth caches in the month and tag the TB along - it is valid. I've just returned from spending a wonderful few days at Sun City and the Pilanesberg and snapped "Travel in Style" there. In my eyes, this is definately a SA National Park - although not part of SAN Parks. ...yes, that yellow spot IS the car!!
  9. Well done!! Do you know the actual 'unit of time'? IOW Define 'short moment'.
  10. um.... <blush> wow - that's waaaaay before I was born, never mind knowing anything about condoms. knowing what a 'jiffy' means - shame - hope the bonking didn't last 'only for a jiffy'.
  11. wow!!! lucky guess. ... wanted to also guess "Erica Georginia" - would have been even closer. hehe OK. Question time... Why do people say that they will do something 'in a jiffy’ if it can simply be done 'quickly'?
  12. Erica of George? Erica Outeniqua? some wild guesses here.
  13. You've got the right idea!! Mufasa was derived from the name Mustafa Kemal Pasha. Mufasa was reportedly the last king of the Bagada people (pre- English colonization of Kenya). They still speak a modern version of swahili in Zanzibar, Kenya. Discombob, you're it!!
  14. ok. Although some of the names of characters are Swahili words, 'Mufasa' isn't a Swahili word. The question asks 'where the name comes from'. Think about ..Swahili as spoken language .. and about King.
  15. Yes, king is partly correct, although the word Mufasa doesn't mean 'king'. There's something more specific.
  16. nope.. ..though 'leader' may be a hint, Anton.
  17. Several of the "Lion King" character names are based on Swahili words. 'Simba' means, lion. 'Rafiki' means friend and 'Pumba' means dusty. Where does the name 'Mufasa' come from?
  18. He died of Swine Flu. First SA death - Stellenbosch.
  19. hmm - no wonder I've been clueless 41.5% of the last month.. Nottingham Castle Pub next to the castle???? ...don't know if the pub is quite as old the castle though.. hehe
  20. I also thought about Delilah, but then, she really only put one man down - though he was an army strong... ...and she wasn't Greek. No other ideas on my side.
  21. A raven is like a crow, right? So if I also think that a crow was sent out first out of the Ark after the rains... maybe the pirates use ravens to keep direction (sight of the coast)? Ravens are scavengers and would probably fly to dry land for food.. Just a guess?
