My Tontedoos-TB is moving fast from cache to cache... it has now logged 6 of the 18. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=773947 ...I should have put a camera in that Dolos - to scan that keyword and send it to me... How are the others' TB doing?
-
Well, well - I'll have to inform my Corsa of this challenge... So that's the excuse!!!
-
hmm - seems Gauteng is in a different race... those numbers are going down instead of up... LOL

Hey!!! Fantastic News!! Thx!! One question... dates: did you mean 27/28 September 2008? - will have to get our cache reviewer to ensure that it is correct on the event listing... We're in!!

Wazat, please use caution when going alone up mountains - especially this time of the year... ..not to be negative - but this listing below made me think a bit more about where I go caching and when and with how many people.. :-) You never know what you may be getting yourself into! I found this cache on event day in Cullinan - and its an awesome cache!! "Stinky's Little Buddy" Cache in Cullinan just outside Pretoria http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...=y&decrypt= Enjoy the trip up! ..and be safe!

CONGRATULATIONS CRYSTALFAIRY!!! ..on your 1500 finds!! Glad you could reach this milestone before leaving the country - your contribution to SA geocaching will be missed.

Closest cache to my house = 0.6km ..and second closest = 0.8km ..and neither is owned by me. This is what happens if you live in the city.

This one at my "Bridge-2-Nowhere" cache in Haarties had me giggling.. Log at B2N What an experience - sounds like a real marriage tester! hehehe

I missed the first one due to prior arrangements too!! I'd love to join in!!!

I ordered one of the vehicle TB stickers and it arrived end of last week. I think it is really cool!!! It will probably take a while for cachers to notice it in actual traffic, but I think it will be nice when discovered at events and other gatherings. ..agreed.I can now remove my geo-sticker and rather have the TB sticker... Just hope no-one ever grabs my TB!..... I will register it soon!

That sound like a GR8 idea! What are we talking about, distance wise?

I've really enjoyed planning & placing mine and am getting nice logs which is really rewarding to read. Other caches from the TD series that I've done was great too and I enjoyed it so far. Will have to get moving to find some more! Enjoy!

Anlufu, I live about 10kms from Northgate. You're welcome to contact me as well if you are interested in meeting up or have questions on caches. I like the following caches in this area (I can only make suggestions - not sure whether you prefer clever hides, nice views etc.): "Rocky Hill" - GCWAV6 "Graffiti Wall" - GC19B9P (one of mine) "Valley View" - GC17KTH "Magnanimous Revisited" - GC10WAP (Also try "The Duka" (GC1465Z) close to this one - I've not been able to find it yet) "Tonteldoos XII - Transvaal se Onafhanklikheid" - GC1BQF8 (another of mine) "Monkey Business" - GCYH6P (only a micro - nice place) Then there are others I can really recommend - but further out to Hartbeespoortdam, Midrand, Centurion & Irene. Don't think you'll be interested in those. Enjoy! There is also an event hosted in the Cradle of Mankind tomorrow morning - pity I did not know you were coming to make plans. But you're welcome - it is going to be a casual day. The Cradle Caper Event (GC1DQNE): http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f1-24d2bbb39c89

#400 was a cache that took me to a place where I had some flashbacks to high school days.. Thanks to all for the congratulations. Well done to all the others recently achieving milestones too. Keep it up guys!

Good idea! Except that I don't have blank dog tags. The photo of my coin has the tracking number very clearly readable - but I have been wondering about the durability of just the laminated sheet myself... Maybe I should make a clay coin-like shape thingy and stick the photos onto it? It can then be the lightweight version... Can one get re-issues of TB dog-tags (with existing tracking numbers) - for resending new TB's into the world with the tracking number of a lost one? What happens to lost trackables? Do they simply remain listed as lost and that's it?
