  1. Oh dear, well, TG will be spending time around the 'Table Berg' during that time... hehe.. so have a fantastic time anyway!
  2. We are a competitive team, Gerhard - it's my nature hehe, but I think Andre is much more relaxed. :-) Caching for me, must always be fun, fun, fun!! Ultimately, whoever finds the cache first, will deserve it - and I'm just enjoying working you guys up. hehehe Yes, please! It's time for the event to be listed! :-)
  3. Gerhard, once you get up there, you cannot deny the smile - it is one of the most incredible hikes I've ever done!! Hey, be nice! :-) hehehe Well, I do admit that it is a wow accomplishment to have all 18 clues in hand! Congratulations! Ginger couldn't travel as far and wide, but gave it a good try.
  4. Thanks for the feedback, Gerhardoos - and for confirming it RedGlobe. What you are saying is as I thought - so it was just to clear it up to cachers who may not know of the decision that was made. :-) I will definately then not be in for the FTF race, but with half of the clues in hand by Easter, I should be able to trade a few.... ;-)
  5. I am willing to consider such a solution... problem is that as far as I remember, the Tonteldoos owners discussed this at some stage and I think it was decided that this would not be allowed... It was said that only cachers who actually signed all 18 logbooks will be allowed to go for the final chase on event day. How about some feedback here, will cachers who did not physically visit all the cache sites, but collaborated with others (let's say by means of fair exchange of clues) be able to seek the final cache? Will they be allowed the find log or even a FTF? This could give some more cachers the opportunity to take part in the 'race for Tonteldoos Gold'. Yet, on the other hand - others have worked hard to get all 18 clues themselves... I currently have 6 clues and am planning to get another 3 before the Easter weekend. That's only half way. What is the general feeling? Or rather, to not open a whole debate again... what is the standing decision on this?
  6. Yup - that's one I can remember...
  7. Well done Andy!!! I'm so glad that you were able to make so much good progress on this matter. It is like you said - I don't go to KNP for caching either, but hey, it sure does enhance the enjoyment of the trip. I was very worried that all caches in parks in SA were going to be banned - personally - these caches are the ones I prefer finding - since it takes me out into nature. At some stage I was wondering about my cache that is in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. When wanting to place one, I didn't know where to ask permission for that one - and it is the only cache in a 250km+ radius around it. It is in a very good and 'legal' hiding spot (in regards with park rules). It is not in a fenced off area though - so cachers have to attempt it with extreme caution. Maybe once all of the issues and concerns have been dealt with - we can get into contact with someone there too that can be made aware of its presence? I'd feel more comfortable with that too. Thanks again Andy, for being our voice.
  8. I'm in for the race!! Thanks for the initiative and to cincol for offering to administer!
  9. Hey hey hey Now, this sounds like a party!!!! Best (or worst, if you want hehe) we've done was the Drakensberg Aphitheatre Hike last year. No gear needed for that one, though the climb and the experience was amazing!!! I'd love to get involved here - please keep us in loop of what's happening!!!
  10. Congrats also to Pooks, Antron, RodnJoan, Joker Guild, iPajero et al. who's dunnit!
  11. That's the way... we like it!!
  12. Ooooooh yes! Love reading all the milestones! :-) Great this time of year to get to caches.. :-) Well done to all that are getting the numbers up!
  13. Oh dear!! I'd hate for it to not get moved again soon.... and even worse - be muggled!! BTW: Thanks Gerhard for helping it move so well!!! ...and for the effort you put in to get it from the last cache location - eish!!! Did you guys see the shoes??? Ready to go to church I tell you! What do you mean? Corsas go EVERYWHERE!!
  14. ...and my TB is in the race as well (I'm definately out of it). So if my TB visited all the caches by then - can I also compete? - giving the TB legs... :) TB 'Tonteldoos Dolos' (TB18R4Z) visited 6 TD caches so far. Whoop whoop!!
  15. Congratulations to the T-V-M Team!!! You guys are setting quite the standard!
  16. Eish!! I want one too!!
  17. Thanks for the teasers, Gerhard!! We loved watching it!! You must please send details on how/when we can acquire a full version please!
  18. Congrats to RedGlobe on his 800th.. ..and TV&M on the 1600th find - wow!!!!
  19. I don't think it was misinterpreted.... This cache's owner is Cape Guy - so if the cachers feel this is a great cache, then its owner must be congratulated for setting it up.
  20. My recommendation would be: Belas Bonus Bush: GC137D1 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...78-093f8d38251d Belas Best View: GC137D0 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...2b-5a3c28007a37
  21. Wazat - I'm always up for a challenge (hike)!! But I don't know where this cache is... please drop me a mail with the cache listing's link... thx! I'll have to plan... ;-)
  22. I am not going have all 18 TD caches found by that time next year - as is, can I not cache at all at the moment (GPS problems... :-( ) but well, at least my TB is visiting. LOL I will be attending the event in Nelspruit... so I will definately make it my mission to get that TD cache clue! :-)
  23. I see South Africa has reached its "3000 active cache listings" mark.... (read the forum thread). So I guess it is in order to congratulate all the cachers in SA that contributed to this milestone!
