  1. I will be taking a Panama Canal cruise which will stop in 5 countries and pass through a 6th country that has a virtual cache that can be found from the ship. I would like to try to find a cache in each county using my Garmin Oregon 550t. Will my Garmin Oregon work in areas I do not have maps loaded for? Since they will all be easy terrain caches all I really need to find them is the arrow and line.
  2. You can move trackables without trading. I know I can, but then I don't have any trackables left to move. WE pick up every TB we find and drop what we can in appropriate places. We don't trade and we always have a few with us. We do what we can to help trackables move. It would irk me if someone was keeping one of our TB's because they were waiting to trade it. PA While I have them they visit every cache I go to and I never keep them longer than a month. That is why I make geocaching runs that have only geocaches with trackables. If I run out of geocaches with trackables I have not found, I will start going to ones that I previously found.

  4. Geocachers who don't retrieve trackables online when they take them out of a geocache. Also, trackable owners that don't mark their trackables as missing when informed that they are not in the geocache they are listed as being in. About once a month I do geocaching runs that are geocaches with trackables only so that I can trade the trackables I am holding. I find that 65% to 80% of the geocaches do not have the listed trackables in them.
  5. In December I researched GPSr for my friend. I noticed that Garmin no longer links to Geocaching.com from their site, but rather their own geocaching site. Yesterday I went geocaching with my friend and noticed that her Dakota 20 did not have Wherigo support. I put 1 and 1 together and developed my own speculation. Garmin and Groundspeak had some type of falling out, so Garmin created their own geocaching site. Wherigo is a trademark of Groundspeak, so Garmin can not include Wherigo on their site. Since they can not include Wherigo on their site they stopped supporting it on their devices.
  6. I just replaced my Garmin Nuvi 855, that the screen went bad on, with a Garmin Nuvi 2350LMT. I loaded 30 geocaches as custom POIs. Then I went to the Trip Planner to set up a trip with the geocaches in it. I could not figure out how to access the custom POIs from the Trip Planner. Does anyone know how I would do this?
  7. The lifetime traffic is attached to the traffic receiver (usually built into the power cord). Whether or not you can use it with your new GPSr will depend on if your new GPSr is compatible with your old receiver.
  8. The traffic subscription is attached to the traffic receiver (usually built into the power cord) not the GPSr. I was able to use my GTM 20 that came with my Nuvi 765T with my Nuvi 855.
  9. There were 2 of the ones I could not log that I was able to identify who the owner was because the items were listed as being at the maze. I am waiting for a reply from one of the owners. the other owner was no longer a member and did not list an email in his profile. The rest of the items were not listed as being at the maze and the tracking numbers either did not exist or were not activated. These are the ones I can not figure out what the tracking numbers actually are.
  10. Today I went to the GPS Adventure Maze Exhibit in Redding, CA. I really enjoyed it. My favorite part was the case with trackables in it. I wrote down every tracking number my 40+ yr old eyes could read. I came home with 15 tracking numbers. I went to discover them all and found that only 5 were correct. This was very frustrating. Is there any way to find out the tracking numbers of the items in the case? I would love to be able to discover all of them.
