  1. I activate at least one coin in a series for the icon, it feel almost a rippoff when there isn't a custom icon, However, I don't buy or trade coins based on the icon but on the coin. but the icon will tip me over to buying if I'm on the fence.
  2. Well I think I`m going to try the zinc out on my group coin and Go bronze with the Stormcloud coin I`m working on. I`ve looked at my coins and they all seem to be Bronze I`m trying to keep the costs down on the group coin so it`ll be zinc
  3. I have a similar concept it will be a muti using old cels with th final being an original Motorola flip the battery compartment makes a decent size area for a logbook and some swag
  4. Head Quarters 10 Years? would be my guess T shirt from last years anniversary

  9. We were looking at doing this coin a couple years ago but didn't have the cash to go forward with it
  10. We are getting ready to send it off to the Mint and get some Samples within the next two weeks. We are looking at presales and will offer a discount we are still working on pricing but are hoping to keep the price around the $10-12 mark.
  11. Thanks a bunch! I sent an e-mail with the nearst cache to me. It's actually the first one I ever found, is an easy find, and is big enough for a coin. When I get home from work I'll check on my ebay item(s) to let you all know the status. one Plumbrokeacres Black Nickel Geocoin has been activated and awaiting adoption Follow it here: TB1Q2CV
  12. Artwork is ready for the mint and will be submitted with another project I'm working on. StormCloud is a local cacher here who has been known to hide some evil caches Would anyone be interested in this coin?
  13. What about sending out a travelbug in their name? I did one for my Dad and have enjoyed watching it travel.
  14. I'll join in here, I still have a bunch of my personal coins I'll release one locally here and adopt it to you with the mission to join you at a cache near you send me an email with the GC# of a cache nearby. and I'll send in out on the cache Express
  15. I was lucky enough to do a trade with River Cacher at Geowoodstock last summer I would defiantly be in for at least one
  16. Looks like its a cedar box so it should hold up better than most. I would defiantly put a sealer on it to help protect it. My concern is that even with a Ziploc it will fill up with water and the Ziploc seal is only as good as the last person to seal it
  17. The mint I dealing with has the Zinc $2 cheaper per coin
  18. Hi fellow coiners, I have two coins about ready to go for samples I will be selling off a bunch of my spare coins shortly to help fund the coins. but, I have a question to send out to the collectors I have over 400 coins in my collection and have been trying to find some zinc alloy coins in it but can't tell if I have any so far other than the suncatchers. I have couple questions: 1. Do you know of any Zinc alloy coins out there? What are they and how do they feel compared to the Bronze coins of similar size? 2. if you had a choice of buying a Zinc alloy coin for $10 compared to a Bronze stamped coin priced at $12 which would you prefer?
  19. I found a plastic banana in a pine tree. My kids got a kick out of it. It was the first time we found an unusual cache container. I recently got one that was a plastic peach. http://coord.info/GC1C4DK To continue the fruit salad theme, there's one near me that's at the edge of an apple orchard that's a fake apple in a tree (not an apple tree). I have also found one that was a fake rutabaga, though it wasn't hidden anywhere near Ithaca's annual "International Rutabaga Curling Championship". I had one it was a resin apple with a bison tube hiding in a pine tree I called it "Pineapple"
  20. You have a couple options, send a email to the cache owner looking to adopt, if you can't get a response you can send an email to your local reviewer asking to adopt( they call it a forced adoption one of our local cachers did that for a couple abandoned caches) You can fix it and have the satisfation knowing you are helping to keep it alive
  21. While at the stash check out holt macro! Right on the corner headed up to the stash it is better to find it with a group though
  22. Here is one I have hidden took my inspiration from a cache I found on these pages. GC18AKT - "Build a better Geocache"
  23. Great looking Coin! I'd love to see one come up to Prince George but if that doesn't happen hopefully I can see one up close and personal one day. Thanks for putting this coin out there!
