  1. I have had so many good miles put on one of my TBs it floated around the NW US then to Florida then off to Germany/Netherlands. But it visited at two caches in South Africa then back to Netherlands. I see this as I look at the map but there are no logs that say it visited the Caches in South Africa. It was recently at a big event with lots of discovers. I'm kind of perplexed about it, but not really upset because of the miles on it. It was just retrieved in the Netherlands today. Any thoughts? TB6KW4H if you want to check it out.
  2. The most difficult find for us was the back of a big screen at a drive in movie theater. The back of the screen faced the highway. Our gps lead us right within 7 feet of the cache. But could not find it. We left and went to another cache and met 3 other groups of cachers there. We all went back to the movie theater to look again. It ended up being 60 feet up on the back of the giant screen. It was an Altoids can with magnet. There was a brave young guy from the group that scaled the screen and retrieved the log book so we could sign the log sheet. It ends up the owners of the movie theater didn't know there was a cache on their property. We lowered the cache to a safe distance like 6-7 feet. The owner of the cache was on vacation from far way and decided to place a cache there. That was our the worst cache and dangerous.
  3. My Geocaching goals 2015: 1. Reach 100 by my 1 year anniversary date in March 2015 2. Place 2 caches for others to enjoy. 3. Buy 10 travel bugs and see where they go. 4. Have lots of family fun.
  4. The area where I live is a TB desert. Hides seldom have travel bugs. I have learned the hard way. I put my tb's in premium members only tb motels. There is a good one in Pendleton, OR. and another in St. Regis MT. I am searching for a good TB Motel in the Nampa/Caldwell, ID area. Any suggestions?
  5. I dropped my very first tb in my own hide which is .6 miles from my house (Idaho) the seven souvenirs of August. 2 days later someone picked it up and it was never logged and it just vanished. The goal was Germany. I just picked a random country. I am wondering if that cacher is thinking they have to go and take the trackable to Germany themselves. Ha ha I did contact them by email. Their username suggests they are from the same small town as me. My heart was broken but I'm doing good now. My other tb's have traveled well.
