Does the fact that its still unactivated make it any more or less valueable? I'm thinking about tossing it in ye ol' wall safe for about 20 years. Swizzle
it seems that unactivated geocoins have a better re-sale value, however an unactivated geocoin doesn't necessarily equal uncirculated mint condition. i have seen some activated geocoins in better shape than some unactivated ones. the best thing would be to protect your geocoin from scratches, oxidation, and even the damage caused by chemicals from inferior plastic sleeves. perhaps a coin collector website has the best tips for proper long term storage and protection of valuable coins.

I had this coin given to me a couple years ago. Is it worth anything and how do I find out how many were made. As of right now its still unactivated. Swizzle
thats a nice geocoin! i love those! i have both the mt. mckinley and mt. everest in bronze. i'm still looking for both of those in the antique silver. does anyone know why the seven summits series was never completed?! i would collect all the summits if they were made.

Don't get emotionally attached to TB's. It's bad for your health.
I would suggest two Margaritas
one of my "code 3 geocoin" hydrant travelers recently went AWOL after over 31,000 miles! the way i see it, i'm glad it made it once around the world. it had a good run, and now, hopefully someone is enjoying it and maybe sharing it with friends and family although probably not any other geocachers. when i set a geocoin free, i fully expect it to disapear at some point. hopefully, later rather than sooner. time for a frozen margarita and a toast to happy travels! cheers!

Creating coins IS fun but wow! so much work! I really had no idea how long it would actually take...I thought a few months, but nine months later....! They are like babies! lol!
My first coin is Out on the Water, Caching by Boat.
I am also participating in a group project -- the 090909 event coins at the moment. It's a beautiful design by Jackalgirl.
I have a couple of other coin ideas that I would like to do -- one is almost totally designed in my head but not yet on paper. I am waiting for my husband to forget about the cost of the last one...
lol!
nice geocoin. i like the tracking code on the bow of the boat. nice touch!

Kind of like tattoo's.
I'm already thinking of the next one I want to create. My husband thinks I'm nuts. Between the steady shipment of others' coins arriving, and my own creation, I think he's thinking about hiding the credit card.
How many have you created?
by the way, congrats on the new geocoin creation. i just saw your nice picture of it in the other thread! are you planning on getting any more tattoo's?

We released our 3rd one a few months back.
Skullduggery Geocoin
Roulette Geocoin
Sprocket Geocoin
Now we are to the point where we will probably just redo the original coins with different plating. We only started making coins so that we would have them to use, we had no idea that other people would want them.
They can be seen at www.angelfire.com/pro/milovsjeff
wow...awesome attention to detail on the roulette geocoin!

very addictive! i have 2 under my belt, and i have a million ideas in my head, but my budget thwarts the creative process...lol...here are my "code 3" geocoin (2007) and the "odyssey voyager" geocoin (2009)...

I'll hazard a guess and say Jon English (the Australian who wrote the rock opera 'Paris').
My question, if that is not the correct answer, is: what nationality is the person you are thinking of?
not john english and you need to rephrase the question into a yes or no?
