  1. Yes, I have been cracking up seeing all the finds now on his hides. I had a feeling there was some sharing going on! Very cool. When Little Bigs & I get some time to get back out caching; I am sure I will be shouting out for help! Thanks for the info Wolfgirl:) Cathy
  2. Howdy CVC-ers. Little Bigs & I have been out caching the last few days. Haven't been able to in awhile as she suffered a bad hip injury last summer right after she lost her dad. It was truly a sad time for all of us - then I had some surgery myself. Anyway - we are back at it. Ya-Hoo. So today - we are out caching and there is a cache hider that is consistently off on his coords. Ranging from 30-60 feet. I am assuming after the first few; that this is being done purposeful to make the cache harder to find. Finally after 3 DNF's today and spending TONS of wasted time looking; we deleted all of his caches out of the GPS. It obviously was not fun for us to be searching in such a wide area for nano caches. Is this acceptable? I've talked to a few out of town cachers that are just as frustrated. Whatcha think? Catmit:) PS - Bill, I am so glad to read that you still have your dog. I think about what happened now and then and it just makes me sick to my stomach!

  4. Happy New Year! It seems like when Little Bigs (Donna) & I are out caching; all the other CVC cachers are taking a break! Come on out and find our Riverbank caches! We have 3 new ones in Riverbank and one in Modesto. Cathy:)
  5. That URL is hilariuos! Thanks for sharing:) Catmit
  6. You two are cracking us up! OMG - I don't want to see another end of the road in awhile! We're gonna try for that Bar None this week..........Do ya think Mervyn's can scan the code? LOL Catmit:) Could that name be one of those oxymoron things? Like "Giant Shrimp" or "Tiny huge?"
  7. Hey Bill, ya gotta thing against the ladies? LOL. Actually we've got our list, and we'll be back out Sunday:) Maybe we'll see ya on the trail somewhere huh? Thanks for replacing Trust me. We'll be back out there soon, but not on Sunday. We're heading in the opposite direction. Oh and one more thing - the only kudos that go with solving the puzzle is the find. ANYONE can say they solved the puzzle! Catmit:) - who now is worried that Bill will throw her off the train!
  8. Hey now, it wasn't that easy! Poor Little Bigs eyes are stuck sideways still!
  9. We are. Hope to meet up with ya'll on the trail sometime! Get out there and experience Widget. Fun Cache! Catmit & Little Bigs!
  10. Congrats on your move Pat & Jamie! I was so suprised when Vern told me you came by his shop! He called me as soon as he recognized your license plate! We've had a great time over the years finding your caches, meeting you at events and even caching with you! Good Luck on your new adventure. Sounds awesome. Vern would love to LEAVE California but I have too much family here though. Little Bigs & I continue to cache on and off. Kind of comes and goes. We have such busy schedules with the kids, school and all their sports. When we have time though, we are out there. Catmit:)
  11. Howdy All; I was so surprised to see all the posts on the CVC board. I thought most people had just taken a break or had been scared off. HA A new look here - so that must of been why I lost my automatic e-mail notification of new posts? Anyway - Bill; how's the bug race going? Who is vdbalamo? 3 more weeks of School; then we're out for the summer! I'll be back to caching. I've missed it, but haven't had much time or gas money, lol. Cathy
  12. Wow George you are fast approaching 1000 caches. That sure is a lot of finds! Following closely behind is Marky at 920; then Ron coming up to 800 soon. DANG! I'm just too jealous! I looked at my ranking on the California cache list - #203. ha ha ha ha ha I've got to get busy! Where to start? !! Sure has been beautiful weather lately. I'm off Thursday; I hope to nab a few then. Have a good evening, Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  13. Don't give up Bill! I placed a cache under a flume this week-end up near Murphy's; and wanted to post on the cache page that you had to go "under water" to get it.....but I figured it would be a battle with the approvers, so I didn't write it. Wow, early congrats Fizzy! 600! - that's about 500 more than me. Great work We are headed down South this week-end. I'd be happy to move a small travel bug for anyone. Let me know! Have a great evening, Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  14. quote:Originally posted by Team 5-oh!: Wait was an exception made for this cache? Doubt it because the qualifying questions were placed on another server (so as not to draw attention to a weak --- cache?). And I think this cache falls short in all areas of the virtual cache listing requirements. This cache must have been approved by mistake! If you were familiar with Ron's caches; you would know that he does extensive cache page work with all kinds of art, graphics and design. He has SEVERAL virtual caches with the questions on another server. I have to disagree that he was drawing attention away from his cache by posting the questions this way. 15. I am not sure what all the fuss is about! What am I missing here? I really enjoyed this cache. It was fun! Isn't geo-caching supposed to be fun? Who cares if it's inside, outside or wherever! I use restraunts frequently just for bathroom purposes. I don't feel like I have to "buy" something in return. So what's the difference in using the bathroom or looking at a poster? I don't own a PDA. When I took up this hobby, all it told me was that all I needed was a GPS. I print the pages with all required information and hunt the ones I WANT to. If I find that I am putting myself at any kind of risk or danger; or that it's a place I don't wish to visit, I DON'T GO! Come on people, give it a rest. Have fun - just like the sport is meant to be K? Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  16. Wow - 3 away from 700! Congrats! I'm sure you're out right now with a flashlight hunting those last 3 down! And congrats to Fizzy on 500; and George on 800! Have a great week-end, Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  17. I was hoping to grab those last two today, but no time You know Ron; it's a matter of time before I start driving out your way........get the list ready! Thanks for all the congrats - you people have made me feel very welcome and I do appreciate it I did hide one of the babies today in Campbell - I named it G&M Jr. eats Prunes. Sure hope it gets approved Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  18. We might be able to make it on the 2nd. We'll let you know soon Matt! Cathy http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=53971 There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  19. We had alot of fun caching in Turlock yesterday! We were 17/17. Yahoo! The trickiest one was The Classroom Building. Then there was Ace O Sob.....Ewwwwwwww Dead End & Zachary's Do not Move without Permit was fun, but we didn't get to meet the neighbors... Loved the Yep Again II..... And we even got a baby! Arrowhead is on the list - but we didn't get to spend time looking there - it was getting too dark - so......we'll be back for that and a few others. Thanks for the caches! Cathy
  20. Good Morning, Are the coordinates for the CVC Tag cache the coords that Short Circuit has posted? Congrats Pat on 365! Way to go........... Welcome new cachers! Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
  21. My virtual in Riverbank took 3 days. I had to explain why I didn't place a traditional cache as opposed to a virtual. Anyway Jaimee; did ya have a good time down South? Get any surfing in? lol You'll read in your e-mails that we found three of your caches this week-end. Loved the ones in Angels. Our first night-caching trip. There was a highway patrolman within view; but now we're pretty well versed with an excuse before we get out of the car why we're there if asked. Have a good day, Cathy There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.

  23. I read this following post on The Resting Bear's cache page! A very serious cacher! It gave me a chuckle or two Cathy User comments: I looked around a while but couldn't see it. However, I only had the coordinates with me and not the discription. My GPS receiver took me right to the porch of the house next door. I rang the doorbell to ask if I could look around, just in case it was the house of a cacher. Fortunately no was home. I didn't see the small park area at first.
  24. I've had the best last few days! Yesterday my oldest son Jeff & I met Jaime, Pat & Caitlin of LuvOzzy & Fattuhr; and today with my best pal Donna, I met the Morris Clan! What fun and wonderful people they are Today We found 2 previously posted DNF's (woo hoo) and two newer ones - 4/4! I'm looking forward to meeting more of you...... Cathy
