  1. It's not gonna happen. It's been brought up more times before than I care to count or link you to, but the answer has always been NO.
  2. It's a holiday weekend. If you don't hear anything by say, Wednesday, e-mail Groundspeak and ask.
  3. The website is now live along with the forums. Check it out Central PA Geocachers
  4. Or those who took five minutes to sit in front of their computer and "find" 30 or so caches......
  5. And your opinion that it's disrespectful isn't any more fact or important than my opinion that it's not.
  6. Well, you could write your logs in any word processor, and copy/paste the logs when you get back.
  7. Bingo! I get exposed to enough advertising in my daily life... can I please have one activity, like geocaching maybe, where it's not forced down my throat suggested that I buy some company's product? I'm sure if you agreed to pay all the expenses for the website/staff to keep this site up and running Jeremy would drop the advertising that brings in the necessary revenue, shortly after your check clears.
  8. Going off topic here, but no, our automakers have half adopted the metric system. Half the bolts on a car are metric, half are "standard".
  9. There was a time when the same could be said about the people who loved Earthcaches, Webcam caches, Virtuals, Locationless........
  10. You'll need to check the box for HTML, to get the code to link to the pictures to work. You don't need a lot of complex HTML coding, the site still handles most of it. Just remember to use <br> when you want to force a line break and <p> to force a new paragraph. For your pictures, <IMG SRC="URLtoYourImage"> If you uncheck the box that says "Yes, this listing is active (For new listings, if you want to work on this listing before it is reviewed, uncheck this box. Reviewers will only see the listing in the queue when it is checked.)" you after your hit the "Report New Listing" button you'll get a link where you can see what the page looks like. You can then edit and review the page until you have it to your liking. Then, when everything is ready and the cache is in place, you need to recheck that "Yes, this listing is active" box so that your local reviewer can see the page and, if everything meets the guidelines, publish the cache to the website.
  11. Holy jumping off the deep end. The OP didn't state it was THEIR cemetery, just the cemetery where their grandparents are buried. Just having family buried there doesn't make it their cemetery.
  12. Doesn't anyone read the announcements forum? Or the 50 other threads on this topic.......
  13. The page looks normal to me. I don't see anything missing.
  14. Even if you check just before you leave, anything can happen. The cache owner could be sitting down at his computer to make the changes, as you're starting your car up to head to the cache...
  15. do most cachers in your area really carry/have access to portable blacklights??? Blacklight flashlight Seems cheap enough that I don't consider it unreasonable to expect someone to have one/get one if they want to find the cache.
  16. The short answer is it depends. Is the place a "for profit" or a "non-profit" area. "For profit" areas go against the commercial guidelines, generally. "Non-profit" (parks, etc) are usually OK.
  17. Check EasyGPS and see if it'll work for the Rino. It says it works with every popular handheld GPS. It's free, so hopefully it'll work for you.
  18. Note, you gotta be a sponsored member to get to the archived cache page to see the pictures.
  19. I agree with Jamie, I almost always get mine within minutes. Occasionally there will be one that takes a while, but it's not the norm. Then again, I don't have any set to run on a daily or weekly basis and just run them as I need them.
  20. If you didn't see any "Member's Only" caches before you got your premium membership, it's because there aren't any in your area. They show up in a regular search, non-members just can't access the page. I think there's a Waymarking category for benchmarks around the world, you could log your benchmarks there.
  21. Besides the fact that a rule like this isn't needed, it wouldn't be enforceable, either. Do a quick search on the forums for "fake finds" or "cheaters" and you'll see it'd be rather simple for someone to simply make logs for the X number of required caches, then submit their hide.
  22. Are you using AOL? I know they were throttling stuff a little while back, don't know if it's been fixed yet or not.
  23. Well then, you're right, YOU probably shouldn't cache in graveyards. I would think most of us are respectful enough that if we're going for a cache and it's in a graveyard, we'd skip it if we saw people obviously having a moment at a nearby grave.
  24. So THAT'S where all the bags o' doot are coming from.......
  25. Jim, I think those trade items violate some sort of guideline.....
