  1. Ah I wasnt aware of that about Gsak, no I dont nessarily need the whole of UK it was just easier to request that rather than go into details, the reason I wanted a lot is because i have a Monterra, and still have to get to grips with it not an easy learning curve believe me, ive been having problems using it, aside from loading caches onto it, which is the easy bit, but Ive been using PQ's and thought there must be an easier way hence the querie. anyway thanks for the replies Ill get onto it. The easiest thing to do is define an area (200km or so) from your primary location and set a PQ based off of cache hide date. project-gc has a useful PQ splitter for that.
  2. Ok, I trying to find a way to load geocaches/waypoints from saved files on the SD card but I cannot figure out how. Can anyone give me some help?
  3. Given that these would all be within a fairly close radius. (Less than a mile) archiving shouldn't be an issue. I was also thinking of placing a fallback (abetly a far far more difficult puzzle) on the cache pages as a fallback. My thought process is that this series tells a story/takes the user on an adventure and would really only work if they did it in a specific order. I want to do something a little less traditional, but that is both fun and challenging at the same time. Caches like Raiders of the Lost Cache (GC2HN2H) are a lot of fun, but require an environment that isn't as easy to get to for most people. Its difficult to describe my idea without giving away aspects that would be spoilers.
  4. OK, I am thinking of doing a series of caches, all following a theme, with the first being a traditional in a very unique container. Which would then contain a puzzle for the second cache. After getting the second cache it would have instructions for getting to the third and final cache which would contain a special token as a reward. I was thinking that I would do three separate caches so people can log the legs they complete as it would be a fairly challenging series, and will take a fair amount of work to complete. Each leg could in its own right be a standalone cache, but as a series I think it would pose more of an adventure. Thoughts?
  5. You can add two to the Ohio listing: * History Makes a Left Turn http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=6c97942e-be8c-426b-a494-c835d04cffeb (few non trail caches on that list) * Back Roads and Beaches Geo Trail (http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=05221212-9bd4-4493-a42e-519cb2abcc29 ) Both provide a geocoin
  6. Yup, it does. It is a nano glued to the bottom of a piece of ballast, in a pile of ballast. Ego inflating nasty cache. He doesn't need to know that I looked for it more than once. Nano hidden in a fence/gate with the coords 70 feet off. He doesn't need to know that I looked more than once. I don't inflate egos of nasty hiders. :It depends on the situation, I know cases where a cache wasnt re-hidden correctly and moved by finders, thus the cache ended up a distance from the original hide. Multiple DNFs flag a CO to know there is a problem. As a cacher Ill often take a stab at a cache with 1-2 DNFs as the most recent logs. However if there is a persistent string of DNFs it raised a few flags and Ill take a closer look. If its a known evil cache with a high rating like http://coord.info/GC4JZWE Electric Mayhem I may take a stab at it. However if its a 1.5 with 6 DNFs odds are there is an issue with the cache missing and its not worth my time to try and find a nonexistent cache.
  7. When one vists a cache where a trackable should be, but isnt what is the correct process to correct the cache contents?
