  1. ooooo. I got the BEAUTIFUL copper one!!!
  2. Crap. My outbox says 3:59....but the navel clock said 4:00 and the forum clock said 4:01. I hope I didn't miss this one.
  3. Email sent. Crossing my fingers that your clock and the US Navel Observatory clock are the same!
  4. :-( All sold out. I really love this one!!
  5. I am new here, but I can already see how wonderful some of these people are. I am glad that I found this place. Maybe someone (or I) should make a "Good Vibe" coin.... trackable.....with an icon..... Does that make it more on topic for you? Jenn
  6. I'm 30, hubby 43, kids 6, 5 and 3 :-)
  7. I'd look for it! Only because I was born in Binghamton and used to go to that park!!!! :-) It does sound like a neat idea. I'm sure real foxes would run if they saw humans coming....
  8. I use the small tins for my stitchmarkers. (It's a knitting thing) I buy them in bulk. Some places call them watchmaker tins or cases. I never thought of leaving them in caches!!! I have about 900 of them Jenn
  9. Hummmm.... well since I am so new, my heart desires so many ;-) Right now my heart goes pitter patter for: Fryslan Appalachian Trail - Virginia (I grew up there) Go-Mad-Cow Family Caching Coin Kiss Caches And any other coins with cows on them. Oh how I love cows :-) **** Edited to add: Pursuit of Caching. I LOVE this one!
  10. Thanks everyone for all the advice. I really like the idea of leaving unactivated coins in caches for gifts. I plan on hiding a few around my neck of the woods eventually, and I think leaving a coin in them would be great. It is very overwhelming looking at all the coins. There are some that I just have to have because they are so beautiful..... I think I am going to limit myself to 2 coins a week or less. Unless someone comes out with another cow coin Jenn
  11. Got 2 of the blue :-) Yippeeeeee. My collection is starting to grow! Jenn
  12. I would be very interested. My husband is an amazing artist and I would love for him to design a coin. Jenn
  13. I am newbie to coins and geocaching, but I have to say that I love that all of these mew designs are coming out. It's easier for me to buy the coins outright since I don;t have to trade right now. But trust me, I am working on getting a trade list built up. I also want to do my own coin. Just trying to figure out the how, who and the when :-) Jenn
  14. Guess I can join in :-) My name is Jenn and I started geocaching about 2 weeks ago. I have been wanting to do it for about a year now and just bought the GPS while we were on vacation for spring break. I always go caching with my hubby and our 3 small children. Our caching name is Logan_Clan. Not the most original, but we are the Logan's and the name is Scottish. I am a stay at home Mom. Our kids are 6, 5, and 3. We have a very busy house I have a knitting related business and am very active in the kids schools. One of our first caches had a coin in it and I am now hooked on them. I love them and can't wait to collect more. At this time I don't have any coins in my possession.... but I did buy about 10 , they just are not here yet! Jenn
  15. Too late. I looked. I even searched. THERE ARE COW COINS. I love cows. I collect cows. I NEED the cow coins. Now I am off to contact the people that have the coins that I NEED and then I am off to explain to the kids that their college funds are dwindling and they better start thinking about scholarships and loans
  16. I am so sorry for your loss! I can get the coin to Modesto if you need me to. We are down near there once a month or so. Jenn
  17. I am very new to geocaching. (Hi all) In one of my first finds, I found a beautiful London Geocoin. I did my duty, logged it and moved it on. The other day I discovered this forum and have been hooked on all of these beautiful coins since then. This morning I spent over $100 on coins. ON COINS!! Who would have ever thought...... So a quick question.... Do you release them into caches? Or do most of you just collect. I bought 2 of almost every coin. One to release and one to keep. I realize that this will get pretty expensive if I do that for every coin. Just wanted to know what most of you do. Jenn
  18. The owners manual isn't all that geocacher friendly. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Venture alert (beep) when I am driving by a cache? Right now it will beep when I tell it to "go to" a cache that I have loaded. But I would love it if it would beep when I went by ANY cache that I have loaded. Is that possible? Jenn
  19. These are two of the themed sets that I make. When I sell them, they come in sets of 6. I was thinking of doing individual ones for the caches. I'll have to look for some Geocaching related charms. Jen
  20. You guys will probably laugh at this..... My other big hobby is knitting. Even THAT is more $$ than geocaching. Try making a cashmere sweater for under 300.00. Don't even get me started on needle costs, blocking boards, wires...... blah blah blah. My hubby was so happy that I found this. I spend a LOT less money :-)
  21. My wife would use them as stitch markers. Well, since we cache in the same general area....lets hope you find one for her! Jenn
  22. Currently I am a stay at home mom :-) Before that I was an accountant. Hubby is the manager of a grocery store.
  23. I have been trying to come up with something unique to leave in caches that my family and I find. I wanted it to say something about us and be something that people would consider as good swag. I own my own business (no this will not be advertising in any way at all) making and wholeselling stitch markers for knitting. If you don't knit, then you have no idea what I am talking about. For all the non knitting geocachers, lets call them custom zipper pulls. They are small charms with a crystal on a small split ring. Perfect for kids coats, even though that is not the intent of them. I thought that attaching them to a small card with our cacher name on them with a small description of what they are (stitchmarker/zipper pull) might be fun. Would anyone want this? Or am I just caught up in my knitting, geocaching dream world Jenn (I would post an image....but they have my business name on them and I don;t want anyone to think that I am advertising)
  24. How funny :-) When I was planning setting my TB free, I decided that a ziplock freezer bag would hold up the best. And the small baggies..... you can get them at various online stores. I use them in my business and I buy wholesale in bulk. And before you ask....it's not THAT kind of business. Jenn
