Thanks. I sent an email to cacher who brought the TB to the event, but I never thought about posting to the event. I'll give that a try.

One of our TBs has been placed in an event cache. Is the TB really with the person who took it there? Many other TBs and Geocoins were there, but my TB is the only one showing in the inventory? I am not familiar with how the events work. Do people leave the TBs and Coins with someone in charge of the event? Or what? Thanks for your help. It is my daughters TB.

Please log DNFs. As a Newbie caching with small -sometimes impatient-kids, I read the log entries to be sure the cache is "findable" as opposed to "found after 30 minutes searching at ground zero. Covered up even better for next finder." I didnt log my first attempt at a cache, but my GPS wasn't fully initialized and I was still trying to figure out how it worked. Now I log all my DNFs.

We cache with 2 adults and 2 kids. We usually trade toys (equal or better value left) and then I drop in a few signature items or tattoos or something (non-trade). All the logging gets annoying. Do I have to be really specific about which toys were traded? Maybe some cachers may like to see who picked up their swag, but logging 4-5 items taken and 5-6 items left gets tiresome. (log in logbook, then log in notes to take home to the PC to then log on geocaching.com etc) Can I just log "Toy Swap" for the toy part of the swap in the log book? and maybe get specific in the geocaching.com logs? or maybe even be brief about the toy swap on geocaching.com logs too? Yay!!! "SMUDGE" is the right answer! The breeder used to say that the small black mark across the left side of her mouth looked like a little smudge, so that's what she used to call her until I named her "Lily". Thanks to everyone who posted - Some of the answers were REALLY funny, some were downright scary (that Sirius dog is horrible - was he alive when that picture was taken or is that the result of a few days of decomposition???)
