  10. Good idea, because my geocaching name does not give away my gender. Its just me Bob a 50 year old male cacher, I nearly always go out alone. My son in law has come out a couple of times, and my wife has bought a pair of walking boots (I think they still have the tags on !!) Tarot
  11. Hi Mike This is a great idea, I have just submitted my order for 50 tags. Thank you for your hard work and commitment. Regards Tarot
  12. I have the same problem because my basic yellow etrex only supports 6 characters for the waypoint name. I use the function within GSAK to remove the first two characters. I have written to Garmin asking if there will be a firmware update, but there are no plans for any such update soon. Tarot
  13. Hi Wordnerd The connection point on the etrex is under the rubber flap, at the top/rear of the unit. The most common cable has a serial connector for your pc, but I believe you can get a seial to usb adaptor. Regards Tarot
  14. I bought my first GPSr at the end of last year, and decided on the basic yellow etrex. Before I purchased it, I asked garmin what were the differences between the 2.xx and the 3.xx versions. A lot of sellers on the net are still selling the 2.14 version. Their response shows many changes (WASS being the most important) I hope this will help the OP question and anyone planning on getting the basic Etrex. Tarot
  15. Congratulations on a great achievement. I can only dream of those high numbers. Well Done From Tarot
  16. Great looking coin, order for 1 sent. Tarot
  17. Thanks for the replies and positive support on this. Please keep posting your thoughts, perhaps we could ask for a change in the icons. Kind Regards Tarot
  18. I have only been caching for a few months, but love to take my dog with me. On the cache page under "Attributes" I always take note of the "Dogs Allowed" icon. But on a few occasions I have had to abort the search because the route in not accessible with a dog (usually because the stile in not dog friendly, with no other route). I'm sure you could lift small dogs over, but my geodog does not fall into this category. I think it would be a good idea to have an icon for dog assessable. Does anyone else have the same problems ? Tarot
  19. Just wanted to add my congratulations on your 1000 finds. I have been geocaching for 4 months and have only found 23 !. So at this rate it will take me another 14+ years to reach your fantastic score. (I'll order my Zimmer frame now !!) Well Done Team SP Tarot
  20. You guys only pay $3 a gallon for gas, that's such a good deal. I have just done the calculation, and here in the UK I am paying $9.63 a gallon. Tarot
