  1. Digging through the archives for a couple chiseled marks to bump this thread: MY3835: LYNDEBORO PINNACLE 1873
  2. In the recoveries I can recall off the top of my head, we didn't add any descriptive text. So, maybe if it's 'recovered in good condition' it isn't getting a datasheet update?
  3. Took a look and none of our recent recoveries are showing on the datasheets. However, the photos we submitted are there. From July 2022: MY3835 LYNDEBORO PINNACLE
  4. This is an outstanding photo of an outstanding recovery. I doesn't get any cooler than this one...
  5. As they do for a lot of us. This was a very interesting and, if you wanted it to be, technical form of gps gameplay. But it doesn't seem to hold it's own against chasing down bison tubes with wet paper every tenth of a mile. Server space costs money and its getting expensive to pay all those people who do the work for free...
  6. Going on three years now... it's got almost two years on the pandemic. What's been going on quite longer is subjectivity. What reviewer is going to archive a cache when a fellow reviewer's name is associated with it? C'mon now - be real.
  7. It looks like that is what happened. We had a cool coin in our watchlist since 2008. It went missing in 2010, so I was surprised to see it had been 'discovered'. Then I wasn't so surprised when I read the log entry was "check". Today, their profile shows no trackables logged and the account has been locked. Additionally, a look at one of their owned caches shows that the townspeople were gathering at the gate with torches and pitchforks...
  8. Found it 12/04/2018 Wasnt able to locate and I didnt bring a spare container, pity. Logging because many caches here in PR are not maintained and nee ones are not common. Glad to be up here on the mountain, first time to the peak! Signed as WAJ 3:08 PM
  9. 1271 trackables discovered/found out of 2502 caches found. That's a pretty good ratio - almost 51% Not bad for someone who's only been playing a little over two years.
  10. They each tagged one of our coins also, a coin that has never been in circulation or shared with anyone. Got another hit from somebody in Colorado.
  11. It's surprising to me the lengths some people will go to cheat in logging a trackable. It's sad really. We've had folks log fake finds on a cache, but that's relatively easy in comparison. Got two 'hits' from players overseas on a trackable that has never left our possession. Maybe they got the number off of a pic, maybe they used a 'code generator'. Doesn't matter. 10K+ and 12K+ alleged finds each, and about a zillion trackables logged.
  12. 07/27/2014 phonyfinder found BM1234 LATE LOG. I didn't find this benchmark myself, but some friends found it. It was a Nice day On [this mountain], the day I climbed it, and it started to get sunny right at the peak. TFTF
  13. +1 Makes one want to reconsider posting a truthful and accurate log.
  14. If it wasn't geocaching, he'd have been using some other activity to get his jollies. In retrospect, some of the titles on his caches seem to be questionable: 'Once upon a Child' 'Bend over and cough' 'Destiny's Child' 'Lets have a sleepover'
  15. From the CITO Event where he was arrested: Apparently too kid-friendly.....
  16. Found it 12/31/2017 Unfortunately, took a new cacher to see if we could find it, but we only found wire on a branch. so sad. View Log Found it 12/31/2017 Found spot. got to coords, but only found wire. View Log
  17. Found it Found a braided cord and a black zip tie. The container seems to have fallen into the snow, of which there is a lot. TFTC
  18. Found it Came out with the gang for some serious caches today! Was not disappointed!!! No cache here but we searched for ever and replaced it. Thanks for the fun and the smiley! Xxxo You should be thanking yourself for the smiley...
  19. Found it 08/28/2004 Had a similar experience to the previous log but add thousands of mosquitos. We really dove into the brush, forsaking any fear of the poison ivy, and still didnt find it. Maybe its gone? Found it 11/01/2004 I so much would love to have logged this as a find but the cache seems to have been muggled, we found a white lid, and plastic baggie with hair ribbons. the walk was beautiful, picked some rosehips for tea on the walk back. We believe the cache is gone and now getting home to NJ and reading the logs were sure it was not there. will post pictures soon. I am positive we were in the right place well send pics to the owner, asking to post that smiley if the cache is indeed not there. Thanks for bringing us here. Unfortunately we can not get back from jersey at least for a year or so. We were going to leave a jeep 4x4 but could not.
  20. Subjective and arbitrary application of 'the guidelines'.
  21. On an Earthcache: Found it 07/01/1961 The cache owner has allowed me to log this as of my first visit when I spent quite some time playing around the rocks. Probably there was a different sign then but the same rocks. Apparently even the experts didn't know this was a rock glacier for another 20 years. I have been back twice since but didn't stay as long. Because all my visits were before the cache was posted I'm claiming -1TF Publish Listing 09/16/2016 Published Yes. Those are the same dates as posted. Good thing they kept good notes. It's hard to remember things for 55+ years.
  22. Trackables are fair game too.... 'Long Missing TB' on your watchlist has a new log: Logged by: Desperate4da#'s Log Type: Discovered It Date: 8/23/2017 Type: Travel Bug Dog Tag Log:Seen on the Photo Gallery.Thank you very much for sharing. The game must be going totally virtual.
