The Summer Wind Up Event is now published. It is Friday August 29, 2014. This weekend is also our Smith & Hondo Fall Fair & Rodeo, which is celebrating our centennial. Included in the activities will be a parade, pancake breakfast, rodeo, petting zoo, fireworks and other entertainment for all ages. To register for the event http://www.coord.info/GC544BP

Passports are available at Pumps on Main, Mirror Landing General Store & Becky's Cookhouse, all businesses in Smith. Each geocache has a password inside that you enter into your passport. We will be using these as ways to issue prizes and give aways at the August 29 Summer Wind Up Event. Collectors cards are being distributed through out the summertime at random times. If you are in Northern Alberta (about 2 hours north of Edmonton) you can try the Smith Centennial GeoTour. We are the first Official GeoTour in Alberta. There are 100 caches in a variety of terrains from park and grab to Quad/horse or Hike access down the Peace River Trail. Hope you enjoy your time in Canada. Our Tour Link

I am not in your immediate area but there is a a group on Facebook that is fairly close to you as far as Northern Canada goes. It is called grande prairie and peace country geoacaching. (No Caps). Located about 2 hours north of Edmonton we are launching on May 17. Caches will go live on May 15 for advance download. The cache area covers about a 75 km area. Kick Off Event will include door prizes, Rodzilla kids entertainer. Also in Smith on the 17th will be a pancake breakfast and trade show craft sale. www.coord.info/GC50PP9.
