I'm giving my Garmin 450 to my brother so he and his boys can try out Geocaching. We can not figure out how to delete all the geocaches I have loaded and shown as found over the years so he can start with a clean memory. Thanks Glenn

I own them both, I have had the 60csx for 3 years now with no problems. I upgraded to the oregon 450 strictly for the paperless caching. I usually take both when I'm geocaching, my daughter is usually using one of them. I've not seen any noticable difference in the accuracy of the 2 units. I added the mapping sd card to the 450 which helps alot in getting you to the neighborhood of the cache. I was out today by myself and having trouble finding a cache, I had both units side by side in my hand and they would take me to within a few feet of each other. I still didn't find the cache, so they both must be junk. Ha Ha So I would say if you are getting it mainly for geocaching, you can't beat the 450 for paperless caching. Beyond that, the durability of the 60csx might out weigh the 450.

We have obviously been seeing signature cards in the caches we have found, and my Son and I have designed our own with our team logo. My question is, do we trade our card for one found in the cache, or simply leave ours for others to see. My Son wanted to start filling a bulletin board with them, to see how many different ones we can collect. But of course that is only possible if the "trading part" is part of the process. Well, we have caught the geocaching bug pretty bad. Teamlee, Dad, Son(14), daughter(7) went out on our first mission last weekend. We heard about the "sport", "hobby", "game", not sure how to describe it, and borrowed a friends gps,became somewhat familiar with the unit and gave it a try. The kids LOVE it !! ,So does Dad. We had good success, found 5 in our first day. The daughter asked this morning if we are going out again this weekend. I said absolutely! Dad is asking Santa for a garmin map60csx. We'll have to wait and see how good I've been this year . Thanks for a great excuse to get the kids out in the woods !!!!! Teamlee A bad day of geocaching is better than good day at work !
