  1. The pole is on the sea floor. Ice is not earth! It can melt, and it moves. Also, in 50 years or so there won't be many ice left over the North Pole... But the pole must be somewhere (the sea floor).
  2. Just realized something... I tought there was a scratch on mine (it fell many times, so I tought it was normal). I tried cleaning it many times, just with water. It never worked. But I tried with glasses cleaner and it worked! Clean as new
  3. Yes. I never tried with a 210, but I tried with a yellow 60 (which can only be better than the 210 because of its antenna). The 60 had 10 meters, the Legend HCx had 4 meters. At one time the 60 lost signal, and the legend still had 6 meters. So just buy the eTrex H, after all it's the same receptor.
  5. Correct Bullfrog Eh-Team! The Champlain Sea. 2happy2gether, you had part of the answer, but it was a sea because it was directly connected on the Atlantic Ocean.
  6. You could drill a tiny hole in the corner of the unit, attatch it with some string (by doing what I call a "lanyard tie")... But say goodbye to your warranty and waterproofness
  7. No. Lake Agassiz was in the area of Manitoba
  8. When the glaciers of the last glaciation moved away from Quebec, they formed an enormous water body. It covered all the St-Lawrence valley. With the years it shrunk and disappeared. What is the name of that water body?
  9. N 44° 35.607 W 064° 10.838 no... *cough cough* I didn't lurk through Google at all... But c'mon! It was like 4 days without any post...
  10. I don't think so. Apple did not even put a 3G chipset just because of heat dissipation. Why put a GPSr inside and do not even use it? Also, people at ifixit.com opened one iPhone and they did not find any. Also in some places it is illegal to add new functions to electronics for free. So if an update ever happens, you'll have to pay for it. EDIT: Maybe your app works with cell tower triangulation?
  11. You might also want to post on the geocaching-France forum. I'll email you a french copy of your text if you want
  12. Géocaching Saglac (In Quebec) http://www.geocaching-saglac.com
  13. Name: Le Regroupement Géocaching Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean Website: http://ww.geocaching-saglac.com Location: Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean (click for wikipedia link) Formed: March 07 Formed by: Cyberrat It was born it march 2007, and it is a group of cachers, primarily from the region of Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean (In Québec), that contributes to the developpement of the activity in the region. Everyone who wants can be part of the group, even if ou're not from the place. And since this month, we host the first french-speaking weekly podcast about Geocaching (which can be listened through the site for those who speak french) !
  14. I love it. Easy to apply when you follow the instructions, just be sure to put enough solution on the two sides and to have clean hands. And it is really strong, and almost invisible.
  15. I don't like those! I found two micros in my whole life, I hid one, and I won't hide another. Maybe that my idea of the average cacher isn't correct, but I don't think that 90% of the caching population would hike 50km in the woods just for a cache. And this is not said without experience: in my enormous (sic) total of four hidden caches, only one has been found more than 20 times. The others barely score 5. And they are only 20 min hike from the car.
  16. It happened to me with my father's laptop and my Yellow 60. Trip And waypoint manager couldn't see it, but the GC.com plug-in worked. Weird.
  17. You win! Mine has 22-32-42, and 11-32 (I already had a 34 mega-low on my previous bike (and it was a 7-speed), but it was plain crap. Way too low). Your turn.
  18. ...And yet you would think that with all that room people wouldn't need to plop caches in parking-lots or cemetaries... In a certain way, yes, but when you think about it, people do not want to go 20 km in the woods to find a piece of tupperware. sure they do, I am doing 30-50km trek just for 2 measley caches soon! (gotta wait for the weekend.. it may take a few days for me to get out of there!) Ok, you win. But I was talking about the average Geocacher. The one that likes nanos under a lamp post skirt.
  19. They "dim" the display in direct sun. You will see a rainbow effect. But in normal conditions, they are invisible unless you look for it.
  20. Then what about a twin Shimano Deore LX??
  21. How 'bout... On a regular cross-country mountain bike (XC), how many teeth does each of the three crankset (front) gears have and how many teeth does the smallest and largest rear derailleur gears have?
  22. ...And yet you would think that with all that room people wouldn't need to plop caches in parking-lots or cemetaries... In a certain way, yes, but when you think about it, people do not want to go 20 km in the woods to find a piece of tupperware.
  23. Sure, you could make a hard reset, but it would not be the best solution. Just tell what you did change and sombody will find a solution.
