  1. Our "04 Prius has been down more dirt roads than the average super low clearance... Thank goodness for the skid plate. If the roads are too rough, we take our bikes, walk, or as a last resort we take the '99 Tacoma.
  2. Cool, thanks for the update and letting me know when postage rates go up. It seems like they go up so often now we can't even get through a roll of 100 stamps between rate hikes.
  3. I have only been collecting since December and I am in way over my head. I often think I should just release them all and be done with it. At this point I just need to cut way back. We are supposed to be saving to build a house and I am not helping.
  4. Saw this one on cachebug. Love it and looking forward to ordering some.
  5. Looking forward to seeing these soon. Have you received the coins from the mint yet?
  6. Thanks to everyone who donated coins to the shelter for the silent auction today: Tank Hounds, Pennypacker, GBots, Grimlock, and CrazyCaveLover. I ran the numbers before I left this evening and I think that we raised $589 dollars with the silent auction. The money from the silent auction is earmarked to replace food that had to be disposed of because of the recent recalls. That, along with the $1080 (minus shipping) raised from the HSCO geocoin sales made this a pretty successful little fundraiser. The HSCO geocoins sold out quickly and unfortunetly some people missed out. I will contact Oakcoins to see if they are interested in minting more and post any updates in the forums. We had lots of fun!!! THANK YOU
  7. Oh my gosh!!!!!! I haven't been at the forums for a while and look what I have been missing. More version 1 Dorkfish coins, this is one of the first geocoins I ever wanted and I still haven't gotten my hands on one. YAY YAY YAY
  8. I haven't read the whole thread because it is very long, but I just wanted to say that we produced a coin so we would have a signature item to place in caches. We sold some to help cover the cost and have a large number left over that we will slowly be releasing into the wild. I buy geocoins that have a design that appeals to me without looking at who produced it or why.
  9. These coins are very nice. E-mail sent for two sets. I am hoping that I will get them in time to donate one set to the Humane Society of Central Oregon's silent auction. They are so perfect for that.
  10. Just bought one. Can't wait to see it in person!!
  11. Sent an e-mail for a trade. Fingers crossed!
  12. Lynne e-mailed me today to say she is closing off online sales. That means we have sold 80. The remaining 20 are reserved for the open house at the shelter where they will be sold for $10.00 each. Thanks everybody for your support and if you missed out, keep an eye on the oakcoins geoswag site around 4/14/07. Thanks, Jennifer PS The icon has been sent to Groundspeak, so hopefully it will be loaded soon.
  13. Wow, all this time I have been ignoring this thread because I thought it was about Pathtags. Boy do I regret that assumption. What a cool project. ( And I am super impressed by Mike's organizational skills.)
  14. It's not US only. There was supposed to be a line on the website to contact Lynne if you are outside the US so we can work out postage. I think that two coins are supposed to be going out to Canada tomorrow. If Lynne's e-mail is not on the order form for international orders, just e-mail me through my geocaching profile and I will make the arrangements. You still would need to pay with Visa or Mastercard though. - Sorry about that. Jennifer
  15. Okay, I am sorry to say that the powers that be at the shelter are currently unwilling to set up a paypal account. Unfortunetly there was a mistake made by the shelter's web design person so that there is a paypal button on the order form. I know that many of you prefer paypal, so I am sorry that you will not be able to use paypal to buy an HSCO coin. The shelter's Community Outreach Coordinator, Lynne, has asked me to let everyone at the forums know that she will be e-mailing everyone who tried to order with paypal to explain the situation and that those people will still have the opprutunity to order the coins by credit card if they wish. Again, I am sorry about the confusion. Unfortunetly, I only have so much control over the situation. On a happier note, all the credit card orders have been processed and will be in the mail tomorrow. Thank you, Jennifer
  16. Okay, we are trying to get the paypal thing straightened up. There seems to have been a mis-communication between the shelter and the shelter's web design person. The shelter does not currently have a paypal account, but the web person put the option on the shopping cart. We are trying to set it up so that it will go through. I will post as soon as we get paypal working. So sorry about the problems. We will get it fixed. Jennifer
  17. Just a note... The shelter is not set up with paypal. They take VISA and Mastercard on the website. THANKS, Jennifer
  18. Okay, they are here and ready to be sold! The coins are 1.5 inches and satin gold with soft enamel finish. They feature HSCO alumnus Munster (one of our kitties) and Dinger the ferret on the front and HSCO alumni and official spokesdog Maty on the back. Dinger the ferret got the honor of being the icon for this coin. The coins will be sold by the shelter through their website. The cost will be $12.00 per coin, which includes shipping. Unfortunetly the shelter is not set up to take Paypal payments, but they do take Visa and Mastercard. 100% of the sale goes to the shelter to benefit the animals that the shelter cares for. If you are in the Bend area, you are welcome to come in to the shelter and purchase the coins for $10.00 each. We will be reserving 20 of the coins to be sold at or after the shelter open house on April 28, 2007. To purchase these coins go to the Humane Society's website. http://www.hsco.org/ Thank you for supporting the shelter, Jennifer Edited to give you a little more information about the coin... The setup up for this coin is the same as the York County Humane Society coins that were made by Parrolet. Thanks to her for helping me get started with this project! The coin was minted by Oakcoins. Thanks to Sara and Christian for their help with the project. The coin artwork was designed by Mad Hatter's Neverland. Thanks Jamie. 250 were minted. 100 will be sold by the shelter, the other 150 will be sold by Oakcoins on their website in a couple of weeks.
  19. Thanks to Grimlock and PennyPacker!!
  20. Thank you Tank Hounds!!!!
  21. Okay, I have been putting this off for a month now and if I wait any longer it will be too late. The Humane Society of Central Oregon has a geocoin coming out. It will be set up the same as the York County Humane Society coins that Parrolet had. (Oakcoins sells 150 on their website and the shelter sells 100. All proceed from the sale of the 100 go to the shelter.) The shelter will be selling most online, but would also like to sell some to local cachers. In order to promote local sales, the shelter will be holding a geocaching silent auction on 4/28/07. We will be hitting up local retailers for items to auction off. In addition, I will be donating at least 15 geocoins from my collection to the auction. If anybody would like to donate their personal coin to the auction please e-mail me. All donors will have their geocaching name displayed prominantly with the donation and I can send you a receipt for donation. (For those interested in buying the HSCO geocoin, I will post a thread as soon as they are available. They will be satin gold. This link has the artwork for the coin: http://www.goudacat.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page4.html) Thank you in advance to anybody intersted in donating, Goudacat
