  1. I emailed the owner, but haven't as yet received a response - There are still people visiting, so it would be nice to keep it - will take a look and see how bad it's got now. Thanks guys! :-*
  2. Oooh, thanks for the speedy reply :-) The cache owner posted a note last year about moving away and needing it adopting. It seems to be falling into disrepair now :-( Thanks though, I'll have a peek at the article x
  3. I'm in Burslem. We don't tend to see many cachers actually - I think they take one look at us and run off hehe. We do a lot of caching in the Peak District and towards Leek, Buxton etc. The Gradbach caches are pretty fab
  4. Sorry if I'm just being blind, but can anyone tell me how you go about adopting a cache. One of my local ones needs it, and has done for a while. Searching the forum hasn't come up with owt, and I haven't used the forum in a while - so Hello!
  5. Run Off! Cows always go after Jess, poor thing. Her daddy was a cow herder apparently, but I guess it must have skipped a generation Normally we end up jogging/running closely pursued by cows - Chris throwing Jess over a style and them just about catching up with me as I'm trying to get over. Young bulls are the worst in my opinion, far too curious for there own good lol. I have a cache dedicated to some naughty specimens: Cache of the Beast
  6. http://www.stickylabels.com/ Lots of design options etc. Only thing is you have to order quite a few...
  7. Arrggh When I was a little girl (not that long ago I asure you) my Dad used to point out that plant and say don't touch it because you will get scabs all over you. I guess he wasn't kidding I haven't seen any lately though.
  8. Exactly what I was thinking. I think your own cache should represent you. Put in things you would like to find, at least then you know you'd be pleasing someone.
  9. Two of my caches disappeared completely within the space of a few days. They were completely removed with no trace at all. It seemed very odd to me at the time but just put it down to them being in "just the wrong place" The thought did cross my mind that perhaps something underhand was going on, but I decided not to think about it and found somewhere else to stick one.
  10. ........hmmm yes please close the thread. It has become obvious that to some people doing something a little different to remember someone else is inappropriate. Not condoning graffiti, personally I think the bamboo wasn't a good example. Nevermind..... back to burping the baby...
  11. Slightly o/t (sorry).... But I thought it might be nice for geocachers to help out with this link: -charlie- I saw it on daytime tele this morning (the woe of having an 11 week old screaming child making me watch rubbish!) I know Geocaching has sent us to some weird, wonderful and beautiful places......
  12. Ok, something else has changed, as no non pm , but logged in I now get a google add after EACH of the 3 returned caches in a search, right the way across the screen. Stuart I'm a non premium member, and now have add separating each of the three listings at the top of a page and every three further down. Does this change if you are a premium member?
  13. We've trained Jess to jump up and over every stile we encounter, even if there's a doggy gap. She's so smart! lol.
  14. I'll have to try that next time Mind you they'd still expect me to get to work, we have very ardent customers who tend to complain... Even though I'm 7-1/2 months pregnant...the joy. I should just give up and do that cache I've been meaning to do that's only 1.8 miles away.....
  15. Do you think it would be a bit far to ask them to come and build a snowman infront of my car so I don't have to go to work?
  16. I wish I could go caching, but alas I've got to get the 4wd out just to go and sell soap. The people of Stoke-on-Trent must be really grubby ..... LOL
  17. I don't think I could get lost up there, even if I was blind folded. No matter which way you walk you come to a road.
  18. BBC News - Staffordshire Do you think they left their GPS at home?
  19. Or you could print them on a computer/word processor etc, then laminate them for something a bit more substantial. You can buy business card sized laminator pouches from Staples etc.
