  1. I currently have an Etrex Legend HCX with City NAv NA loaded on it. We only use our GPS for caching, but we do travel to cities we are familiar with to do caching (hence the City Nav is very helpful). We are thinking about getting a Colorado or Oregon unit, since it would mean we would no longer need to carry a PDA with us for paperless caching. What I'm wondering is; will I be able to use the City Nav on the new unit (I know it gets tied to the unit ID in order to unlock the maps)....and more importantly: Are the advantages the Col or OR offer over the Legend HCX worth upgrading for? THanks
  2. I question the authenticity of the "review" as well since numerous people have reported on this very thread that the units won't be in store until December. In addition to this, I have yet to see a store or website that says they are in stock. I believe this is nothing more than a Garmin owning Maggie basher that takes anyone saying good things about a Megellan unit as a personal attack on them. - And this is coming from someone who returned 2 Explorist 400's for defects and got a Legend C instead. (But I'm still getting a Triton)
  3. I was just in my friendly neighbourhood Wal-Mart, and they had a spot for the new Tritons in their display case-priced and everything. Just no units yet. All the clerk could tell me was that they had some "on order", but not when they would be in. The 400 (which is what I'm looking at purchasing) is going to be $197.93 CND.
  4. My wife and I currently use an Etrex Legend Cx for caching and love it. The only problem is, we don't have street by street mapping on it to help us get to the cache. We thought about getting a car unit to do that, but I'm wondering if there is a better solution? Is there a handheld unit that will give us turn by turn instructions, and have more than just major streets? Should I be looking at software instead of a new GPS? What is the best route to go? (Pardon the pun)? Thnx.
