I was following a Travel Bug which I had helped to move on.It went 'missing' for quite a while. It eventually reappeared.Apparently it had been lost on the fells in the Lake District.Luckily a Geocacher found it and helped it on its way.

In that case you would be well within your rights to take this to the Police, this is either theft, or criminal damage, or both. Just as much as if someone went into the reserve and stole all the benches because they don't like people sitting there.
