How many poeple out there geocache without a partner? I just started and was wondering if its safe to do this? Mike

I know this has been asked many times before...but still don't have a clear answer. What can I use to prevent ticks from getting on me? I don't feel conftorable using DEET. Is there anything else I can get at the sporting good stores for this? Every time I go out I am coming home loaded with ticks. Mike
