  1. I have a Magellan 310 I bought in November to see if I liked 'caching. Convinced myself enough that I recently bought a new Meridian. I'll let it go for $60 plus shipping, comes with manual (liberally scribbled on the cover by my 3-year old) and a set of AAs. Paid $75 for it plus shipping 6 months ago. It's basic and certainly not the newest model, but it works and is in good condition.
  2. 310 doesn't have 'initialize' in the setup, only the EZstart, which I think is the same dog under a different name. I've downloaded the manual from Magellan and now I suspect the unit may not be working properly. The basis for this is after I select 'EZstart' and confirm elevation, time and date, the unit goes over to 'Demo' which is the next main menu option under Setup. According to the manual the unit should instead pop over to the Nav window. Any 310 owners out there confirm my suspicions?
  3. Just bought a used 310 to get my family started on 'caching. Unfortunately, I can't get the unit to display the coordinates for where I am. The unit was shipped from NY, and when I used the EZstart function it locked into 39N 89W and stuck there, which is approx 4 deg N and 40 mins E of my position. I've left the unit attached to my street side mailbox for 45 minutes and it stayed with the same coords. I even took it for a drive to the top of a clear hill near here and left it standing 10' away from my truck in the middle of the clearing and still no change. I see that it will occasionally lock onto as many as 2 satellites but never more than 2, but it sees as many as five. Any ideas where I'm going wrong or suggestions as to what to do next?
