  2. Let me preface my advice by saying this. I'm an avid biker. I ride thousands of miles a year. Although, those miles are almost exclusively on a road bike. Years ago looking for a bike to get me to those college classes in winter I purchased a Schwinn Frontier for about $250. The main selling point for me was cost and the abnormally large front chainring. I was used to riding road bikes and hated all those useless tiny front sprockets. It's now almost 7 years later and I still use it, because found the exact right bike for me. Cheap, because i knew i wouldn't use it much, but perfect for what i wanted. As for you I think you have to ask youself some basic questions. And don't kid yourself(be honest). Take this evaluation at Gary Fisher--Matchmaker It's my experience that what keeps people from cycling is that it seems difficult. The main reason it seams difficult is Resistance. Resistance is caused by many factors (i.e. weight, rolling resistace, wind, and grade) since you can't always ride downhill and with the wind. The best way to make cycling more enjoyable is by trimming weight and Rolling resistance(Tire size) the thinner they are the fast you go, generally. the key is to balance the smallest tire size and lightest bike you'd feel comfortable riding given the terrain you'd spend the most time on. It's my guess you should probably get something like this..Trek 7300 StrongBad Cacher Anywhere But Here --->my website ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!

  12. Here's what I found from a quick, educated guess style, search. Beverly, which is the oldest active cache in Illinois, has about 80 finds. While, Drury Lane Theatreleads the way with over 90 finds. Interstingly, Drury Lane was placed by an interloper, Not quite a tourist, but not a resident, later adopted by Markwell. So for all of those against tourist caches, here's a success story. StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!
  13. I'm suprised no one responded to this. How about this Revised question. We may arrive at the correct answer like this: What cache that you have found, has been found by the most other cachers? Physical caches only please. StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!
  14. When I was reading all of the information on bomb scare caused by the In Plane Site cache, I noticed the huge concentration of finds. It had been found about 80 times since October 15th. It had alot of notes on the page but it still got me thinking. I was wondering what Physical cache (no virtuals or locationless) has the most finds. I'm sure this has been discussed here before. But i'm sure the numbers have changed since then. StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!
  15. I dropped you an email. I won't be able to cache with you on sunday. I have a suprise birthday party to get to at 2:00. I'll forward the email to my brother and dad. they might go. but as for me. no caching. SORRY StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!

  17. Hey Yellow Dart-- how'd that eglilch paper work out for you? And what's this about Oakland, Illinois. Don't you know Oakland is in California. Unless your talking about that Oakland college that's in Michigan. And I thought you were from Manhattan, Kansas. Enough Geographical Symantics. It is my intention to sit down and play video games for several hours. StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!

  19. I've only placed 2 caches but both are on the small side. I like them this way. They are easier to hide and more challenging to find. I'd rather find a smaller well hidden cache than a large easy to find cache, if all other factors were equal. I've had a large TB (the Evil Pig) at one of my caches. I left him there when i placed it. I put him outside the cache, but in a ziploc bag. This is how he was found. The bug then travelled to my only other cache. Where it was not placed because of inadequate cache size. The second cache was bigger than the first. StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!

  21. I missed that one. I don't really read the comics, but it's on the same page as the crossword puzzle. I just caught GPS out of the Corner of my eye. Thought I would post it here for all to enjoy. I'm going to try and find yesterdays when I get home. StrongBad Cacher ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!

  24. You've been had. I wouldn't even bother continuing to e-mail the "placer." That just increases his delight in the fact that he "got" you. This person doesn't have any finds, and yet they have gone out and hid a cache. How do they know where a good place to place one would be? I'm thinking this is the work of someone looking for-- and getting-- a good laugh. Move on and don't give them the satisfaction of being upset about it. ...On a scale from one to awsome, I'm super great!
