  1. I notice that this tag has started showing up when we edit logs. Which, by the way, is necessary if you want the visit date to be correct. I'm curious as to what purpose it actually serves.
  2. But that makes no sense at all. It's applied in a place where you would click to view your previous caches, not to search for one.
  3. I needed to check some info on one of my ALs but the "new" version of the editor would not allow me to do so without choosing themes (which would alter the AL). Is there any way to look at the full AL (in particular the "completion" message) without actually editing and altering the AL?
  4. Credit where credit is due; I saw something very similar on Facebook and immediately thought "I could make a puzzle out of that..."
  5. That's exactly what it was, the "Placed after" filter was set. Why would that be set to default to the current date for just this type? It isn't for any others.
  6. Say you've visited a GPS Adventure Exhibit or two. The count appears on your profile, but if you click on it to see the list...I first noticed this several months ago and it is apparently still broken.
  7. Been getting a lot of this today. My standard procedure is to dump the photos from the phone into the PC, drop the images into an editor to crop, and then upload them as visits to geocaches or to waymarks. I have been able to get images to upload to geocaching.com if I cut the size back quite a bit. It is amusing to note that photos that won't upload to geocaching.com are just fine over on the Waymarking side.
  8. Nope, I want the GC code with the link, to paste into spreadsheets and such. But thanks to some "clever" new back end code, what was once one step is now about three. And since I am slightly dyslexic and rely heavily on copy / paste, that's now two copy / pastes instead of just one, plus clicking around in the spreadsheet to find the "Add Hyperlink" dialog.
  9. It used to be when you copied the GC number from the upper right corner of the cache page, that's what you got when you pasted it - the GC and the imbedded link. Very handy for us stats driven geocachers who copy/paste GCs into spreadsheets and puzzle solution documents and such. Now you also get the cache name, which is annoying and must be deleted. And what's worse, they're in different font sizes and the cache name doesn't have the link imbedded.
  10. And that is what should happen automagically if you click on View Larger Map. Isn't that how it works with un-archived caches? Just a map centered on those coordinates?
  11. And here is another outright bug. If you are viewing an archived cache and click on "View Larger Map" instead of the expected result (a map of that area) you get a DNF pop up that can not be dismissed. The only escape is to close that tab.
  12. I see some recent screen shots that show both difficulty and terrain. But I only see difficulty. If I click on the three dots I can switch to terrain. But click on the dots again and difficulty is no longer an option! How do I get both D/T back on the screen?
  13. Ya know, I don't think we ever know that. We can certainly see who publishes, but "rejection" notes are anonymous. As far as I know. It's not a big deal, just because a well regarded waymarker expressed an opinion on something in a forum a year ago doesn't mean that it has to happen that way.
  14. My resubmission was rejected (I did include a link to this thread and a screen shot of Wayfrog's comment that both should be accepted) so I suppose that is it. Perhaps it will return some day and I will WM it then.
  15. Max and 99 are prophets, because this very thing just happened - we both visited the Wienermobile at the same site today. We knew about this discussion and (having discussed it ourselves) concluded that we could both post waymarks, and both should be accepted. However, mine was declined as a duplicate waymark. I will re submit with a link to this thread and see what happens.
  16. Hmmm just played with it some more. Still works for active caches but NOT for archived caches, and I had just messaged a CO about an archived cache. So it is still there.
  17. When you are on a cache page and click "Message this owner" the system used to automatically insert a little "Regarding GCxxxx..." header. This was a nice touch and I rather liked it, but it appears to have been removed. Any reason why this is gone, and would y'all reconsider putting it back? THANKS
  18. LOL did not even see that. Problem solved, thanks!
  19. I use the "Ignore" list to exclude challenge caches that I've visited and signed but not yet qualified and logged as found, to keep them off my map. Today I was using the Pocket Query feature to search for even more unfound challenge caches, and found, to my surprise, that the result does not remove items that are on my "Ignore" list. Is this a bug? Is there a way for PQs to run the result against the Ignore List and remove those that are listed?
  20. Here are a couple more. URLs because if I click on them I get the dreaded error page. This is a Max and 99 uncategorized waymark that they created for me to finish. https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wm15C59_Instant_Dome_A_unique_construction_project_in_Hennessey_OK_gave_the_town_one_of_its_largest_buildings_in_less_than_2_hours And here is one of mine that broke in the middle of changing categories. https://www.Waymarking.com/wm/add_finalize.aspx?f=1&guid=08692208-55c1-4803-b2f6-1b219e6f25d7&wft=2&uid=f484a69d-117e-4193-b3ba-92e9d6c9ac1e&st=126
  21. I was in the middle of a category change on one of my (not yet approved) waymarks WM15ACA and something went wrong - now any time I hit the "Edit" button I get the error page. Can one of the gurus take a look and see what's wrong there? THANKS.
  22. Well, Alfouine, that is why I was so confused at the rejection of that waymark. Three of my first four submissions to this category were a restaurant (WM1462V), a bar and lounge (WM14C8T), and another restaurant (WM1465J) - and the fourth (WM147J0) is a travel center / gas station with a gift shop and other attractions, pretty much the same thing as the one rejected. All were accepted and published without hesitation (by you!), and I assumed that was because there was a link to an Official Tourist Attraction web site. All of my others are the same way - all had the required link, and all were accepted. You could argue that many of them are not "tourism activities" (how can a mural be a tourist activity?) but they all have the required link and all were accepted - until this one. I still do not understand why - particularly as it is probably the largest tourist attraction in town. I would get it if the category was just "Tourist Attractions" and that would give the officers plenty of wriggle room to argue yes or no, but "Official" Tourist Attractions does not give that freedom; the "official" decision has already been made if they're listed as such on a web site. So I will watch for your reply and some clarification on this category.
  23. I submitted one to this category a while back and had it not just rejected, but unanimously re-rejected (along with a scold to "stop wasting the officer's time") and I am curious as to why. From reading the category page it would seem that the principal criteria is "the official City/Town/Municipal/Regional Tourism URL link to the attraction must be provide" and sure enough the location is on the county's tourism web page. The site is "attractive" enough that it is also an "official" roadside attraction. However, the officers didn't think it qualified. Why isn't it enough that the site be listed by the city/town/municipality/region on their tourism web site? I've submitted several based on that, and up to now all were accepted without hesitation.
  24. Came here to ask about this myself. I have been trying to create a PQ for caches only within the United States, but there just doesn't seem to be a way to do it.
